I just heard this guy on the radio coming to work today. What he said had the ring of truth to it. He claims that the US knows about this, but there's nothing they can do about it. Our political correctness in who and what we search and our lax borders have allowed nuclear weapons to be brought in and the he expects that there may be about 20 of them and in 911 style he expects that they will all be detonated simultaneously before the end of the year.
He agreed that the only way we could prevent this attack would be to make a clear public statement that in the event that some muslim extremist group sets off a nuke in the united states, that Mecca and all other Muslim holy sites will be nuked in retaliation.
But does our government have the courage to publicly make such a statement? No.
So, let us all pray this guy is crazy as a loon.

Maybe we could offer amnesty (like the Saudi's), so that any terrorist that turns himself in WITH the suitcase NUKE, will get amnesty/new identity (in South America),relocation money.
I have heard a lot of talk (not on this thread I hasten to add) that Paul Williams is just trying to sell books and he shouldn't be believed because he could have financial motives for saying this stuff. I really don't think that this is the case though.
I have read his books before and I would not say he is a sensationalist. His information also concurs with Yossef Bodansky's book "Bin Laden, The man who declared war on America", which was released in 2001 before 9/11. The fact that Bin Laden bought suitcase nukes has been out there for some time. He's not the only one saying it.
I might be a little naive, but I don't believe in the suitcase bomb threat.
Nukes are so hard to come by due to the refining of enriched uranium, that it's always been fairly easy to detect those trying to develop a bomb.
That leaves known nuclear states to produce those bombs.
And micro-bombs are even harder to produce.
That leaves major nuclear states.
I agree, though. If we get nuked, then we nuke back. It's the only way to play the game.

I don't think that praying that the guy is crazy would do a lot.
I think praying that our government
1) exposed, removed, tried and imprisoned traitors beginning with certain senators . . .
2) developed the testicles to make such a declaration and the courage to follow through--
might have more impact.
Make sure that our nukes going to Mecca(other Muslim cities) are dipped in pigs blood...
