Backup electrical systems failed to kick in

A mysterious power failure at Logan Airport that delayed dozens of flights for more than five hours has still not been explained – six days later.

Airport officials insist airline security was not compromised during the blackout Monday at Logan International's Terminal E, but backup electrical systems failed to kick in as they are programmed under such circumstances.

It also could be possible that what they are not talking about is that they have intercepted some. It would probably cause wide spread panic, stock market woes and compromise of intel sources if they were to announce any victories in this area. Caution is good...panic is not---remember "terror" is what the enemy hopes to inflict.

The "surrender" of AQ's wheel-chaired guy is interesting and probably supports the theory that bin L is and has been dead for quite some time and that funding has been cut off and its no longer profitable to be broke and in need of medical attention (so much for "dedication to cause"). I'm not under-estimating the lengths to which these evil beings will go, but I do have a red flag that goes up when people are running a book sales circuit. We are not reliant on our own conflicted, in-house intel sources, so I don't feel as though we are as compromised as we were pre-911. Just my 2 cents.

Good Morning, the local fire is still raging. However the smoke is being blown the other way since we now have monsoon weather drifting in from the south. Possible thunderstorms this afternoon. I will have to check on the other three burning in So Cal.

The 4.0 box on the eq map still looms there with no aftershocks. The possible foreshock alert is still in effect for that. ;-(

OK, lemme see if I understand this.

There is something on the plane that is causing people's eyes to burn.

They don't know if it is a smoldering fire, a toxic cargo leak, someones mace/pepper spray, or a deliberate attack.

So they KEEP THE PEOPLE ON THE PLANE FOR FOUR FREEKING HOURS!?!?!

Pepper spray can be bad if introduced into the AC system, too.

We evacuated our school a few years ago because some kid sprayed a can into the air handler and it was pretty evenly distributed all over the main building. Sent a few sensitive people and some with asthma to the ER.

Yep....seems they need to get the entire "story" straight before letting it out to the media.

I think it's a good guess. Imagine being a passenger, sitting in a crowded plane with few exits, smelling smoke, and contemplating all the jet fuel in the wing and belly tanks, and the possibility of carbon monoxide dulling everyones senses while a hidden fire slowly grows under their feet.

And not being allowed to leave the plane.

Guess why I drive whenever possible...
