BULGARIAN CAPTIVE KILLED
Islamic militants in Iraq have executed one of their two Bulgarian hostages.
Arabic television station al Jazeera also said the kidnappers had set a 24-hour deadline for killing their second captive.
The two captives, lorry drivers Georgi Lazov and Ivaylo Kepov, were snatched in the Mosul area of northern Iraq earlier this month.
The channel said it had been handed a videotape of the beheading by the group.

Did you see the pic before it disappeared? I have it on my hard drive. I was digging in the archives of It's Hapopening last night and I came across it again. I remember it when it was first posted last year. At the time, it must have been on someones's jihadi website or it was an attachment to an Arabic message. It could be entirely innocent, I suppose.

MONTPELIER, Vt. — Two highly radioactive pieces of spent nuclear fuel were believed found Tuesday where they belong, in the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant’s spent fuel pool, three months after they were reported missing.
The discovery was made by engineers using a special tool to check a container in the pool, which contains thousands of spent nuclear fuel assemblies from the plant’s 32 years of operation, a Nuclear Regulatory Commission spokesman said.

Air Crash Victim Was Weapons Expert

The pilot of an aircraft who died alongside three passengers when it crashed into a field was an expert in chemical and biological weapons, it emerged today.
Dr Paul Norman, 52, of Salisbury, Wiltshire, was killed when the single-engine Cessna 206 he was piloting crashed in Devon on Sunday.
