Backup electrical systems failed to kick in

A mysterious power failure at Logan Airport that delayed dozens of flights for more than five hours has still not been explained – six days later.

Airport officials insist airline security was not compromised during the blackout Monday at Logan International's Terminal E, but backup electrical systems failed to kick in as they are programmed under such circumstances.

Germany detains terror suspect

FRANKFURT, Germany (CNN) -- German authorities said they detained a Moroccan man for questioning in Hamburg on Wednesday about a bank account he shared with one of the hijackers in the September 11 attacks in the United States.

German authorities identified the man as 27-year-old Mounir El Motassadeq.

Mounir Motassadeq is a 28-year-old electrical engineering student in Germany. He was arrested after the 9/11 bombings as a co-conspirator. Motassadeq is a member of a middle-class family who came to Germany in 1993 to study. By 1995, he was studying electrical engineering in Hamburg, where he is believed to have first met Atta no later than the following year.

After hearing about what these anarchists are planning to do, I'm lumping them in with the terrorists. It does seem an unlikely alliance, but an alliance just the same.

This is going WAY beyond the role of useful idiot. I call it treason. Heard about this last night and it made my blood boil.

On the good side, I would think these protesters would stick out at a gun range like a turd in a punch bowl. All the gun owners I know are clean, intelligent, upstanding individuals. The exact opposite of the protesters. In fact, some of these pukes could get their asses kicked badly if range regulars know what they were up to.

Children brandish weapons Children as a young as 10 are being recruited to fight for the Palestinian cause.

Sky News has gained access to a young people's camp in Gaza, where the only lesson taught is how to kill Israelis.

Sky's Middle East Correspondent Emma Hurd said the camp, at an undisclosed location, had been set up to drill children in the ways of war.

Los Alamos National Laboratory director Pete Nanos is talking tough following the latest loss of classified material from the lab.

He says he’s ready to fire lab employees who continue to ignore security procedures.

Nanos says he’s smoked out a number of individuals he believes have continued to carelessly treat classified materials despite lab directives.

I don't know. The body found in San Diego is the only one I have heard reported. I expected Hedgecock to jump on it. Maybe he was told to shut up. Maybe it was nothing at all. Either way, there was never a searchable article posted on the incident.
