Zogby: Edwards Fails to Lift Kerry

All hair, no cattle?

Despite the tidal wave of media gushing over pretty one-term Sen. John Edwards, he has so far failed to boost the Democrat ticket, according to the latest Zogby International poll.

Of 1,008 likely voters polled by Zogby on Tuesday and Wednesday, 48 percent supported Sen. John Kerry and Edwards, and 46 percent supported President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. The difference falls within the poll's 3.1-percentage-point margin of error and matches the two-point spread in Zogby's poll taken June 2-5.

"This is not a big bounce electorate," pollster John Zogby stated. "We are a nation that is split down the middle, polarized and hardened."

The poll showed approval of Bush's performance rising two points this month to 49 percdent.

This morning Katie Couric mentioned that both of the Kerry's and Edwards spouses had suffered a death, Kerry's wife here husband Mr Heines and Edwards son was killed in a car wreck.
That is the "glue" that keeps these families together, kinda stretching it I think.

Going after the women vote. Women love men being touchy-feely.

I was a lifesaving instructor in youth. When approaching someone who is foundering in water over their head, one should approach from behind if at all possible. This is because, in abject panic for their lives, the victim will climb all over you, potentially pulling you down with them. IMO, Edwards needs some training when getting close to Kerry.

Nor this one. In our family, the husband and son votes Dem, the wife and daughter Republican.

The best thing about this ticket for me has been the number of times I've heard reporters and hacks refer to it as the Edwards/Kerry ticket. Talk about your Freudian slips! HA!

If...

Kerry is Herman on the Munsters
Teresa is Lily
Granpa is Teddy Kennedy

then...
Edwards is Marilyn.
