I think people are going to start going numb to this tactic.

I should HOPE NOT!!! We'd be one notch above them if we just yawned at this...

I believe Hafidh H. Amer is the name of the Iraqi Security Officer who was with the Filipino, at least that's what I think they are saying.

I'm not thinking the American muslim would have been released because he was muslim...these people kill plenty of muslims. I was thinking it could have been orchestrated as a clever way of escaping duty. I just think it is odd.

If the guy's already wearing an orange jumpsuit, he's toast.

I wonder how they came about the 72 hour deadline.

I bet there were sitting around:

Abdullah "I think 96 hours is good"

Samir "No I think 48 hours is better, more absolute!"

Zarqawi "Friend, we will compromise and allow 72 hours"

They sure do stick with that number.

Or 72 hours for the one testicle the terrorists have between their legs.

"Which countries have become a victim from the video-taped beheading threats?

USA
Philippines
South Korea
Turkey

Did I miss anyone?"

Also that brave Italian civilian, who was not beheaded but was nevertheless executed on film. Funny how Al-Jazeera felt it was too sensitive to air that one, after he dared them to watch how an Italian dies.

I think in the case of Spain, it was different, as they went after the trains in the country itself, as opposed to beheading a single person in Iraq....it touched a lot closer to home in Spain.

Yep, Orange jumpsuit... dead man kneeling.

Prayers for this man and his loved ones, and God Speed to our boys and our allies (Coalition and Iraqi) in their efforts to track and kill these bastards.

Killing his Iraqi security guard, who was MOST likely Muslim... more hypocritical action on the part of the terrorists... "we don't kill Muslims"... yeah right.

Masked men stand around a Filipino hostage in a videotape aired on Arabic television station Al Jazeera July 7, 2004. An Iraqi group has threatened to kill the unnamed Filipino hostage if Manila does not withdraw its forces from the country within 72 hours. A banner in the background named the group as Khalid bin Waleed Corps of the Islamic Army in Iraq, named after an early Islamic military leader. The Philippines has about 50 military personnel in Iraq. Photo by Al Jazeera/Reuters (U.S. OUT. GERMANY OUT. NO ARCHIVE. NO SALES. EDITORIAL USE ONLY.

An Iraqi blogger named Nabil has posted a list of 11 things he would do if he were in charge. Number 10 on his list:

10 - the police should never let Al Jazeera and Al Arabia news channels work in Iraq again because they are responsible for everything happened in Baghdad and this is have to be the first decision which the new government have to make.

He's got some other good ideas, which can be read at:

I had guessed that our Spooks left Al-Jazeera intact 'cause they had hacked into their system to trace back to the terrorist. This appears to not be the case.

Do note that some on US soil were arrested in the past year for hacking into Al-Jazeera. Al-Jazeera complained and the FBI jumped.

Yeah, you forgot Japan.

I notice that the hostages taken are all from these countries, and they ALL have had recently publicized political troubles at home. The terrorists have satellite TV and they see this clear as a bell. They are very savvy, and they look for an opportunity generate dissension.

They have field day with the democRATS spewing all their leftist drivel. Do you think they will attempt something spectacular in the USA before the Nov election?

You had better believe it!
