Here's the take on him from a liberal source, the Alliance for Justice:
"Throughout his career, J. Leon Holmes has actively worked to undermine a woman's right to reproductive choice. His zealous advocacy for doing away with such a fundamental right, along with extreme statements he has made about the separation of church and state, gay rights, and gender equality, raises serious questions about his fitness for a lifetime appointment to the federal bench."
Sounds good to me.

To AFJ: What if that little woman just happens to be in the womb? Wonder what choice she would make for herself?

I have serious questions about this nominee's commitment to a woman's constitutional right to choose! Is it too late to do anything about this anti-choice extremist?

Yeah, but his view of a woman's role in a marriage, let alone society, is questionable, to say the least.

From your find:
"His zealous advocacy for doing away with such a fundamental right..."
It never ceases to amaze and annoy me how the left twists not only language, but the logic behind the language, in order to falsely represent an issue. An issue such as abortion that has been so hotly contested for over 30 years and that came only through judicial activism nearly 200 years after the Constitution and Bill of Rights, can hardly be called 'fundamental' by any application of the language or the principles of our civil rights. The complexity inherent in the issue is that exercise of what the pro-abortionists call this 'right' directly impedes the truly fundamental rights of another living person.

His zealous advocacy for doing away with such a fundamental right The Alliance for Justice can stick it up their fundament as far as I'm concerned!

I thought there was only one "fundamental" right -- that being the right to LIFE.
And, I agree with your assessment. Judge Holmes seems to be on the side of good. We need a few hundred more like him asap.

Isn't it strange that the liberals believe that the ONLY "right" that is truly without any limits whatsoever is the right to murder your unborn child?

I wonder if these folks are the left mirror image of the Northern Kentucky Right to Life, to whom a 100% pro life voting record is not sufficient simon-pure to endorse if he or she invited a lesser light to speak at some event.
Maybe it just means that Holmes has never said anything substantively pro-abortion and his record remains an enigma. I.e. another David Souter.

"a woman's right to reproductive choice"
More liberal oxy-moronic statements. Blows my mind, dude.
