Six 'Rat Senators supported Holmes, including two women. Intersting. I thought this nomination was doomed.

if Texans were stupid enough to give us Lyndon Johnson, and give themselves Ma RichardsAnd then I came of age and crap like that isn't supposed to happen anymore. Heck, I want my governor back, you know, the one you guys captured and made into a President. I want him back in 2008. As governor. Dagnabit!

Sounds like my kinda guy.
Why, if he's a second amendment purist, he's darn near perfect!

I know what you are saying, but what if her PRINCIPLE is "pro-choice," and this allowed her to vote as she really wanted, rather than as the party needed her to vote? As long as it doesn't affect the outcome, I don't think it really matters.

You can tell a man by his enemies. Judge Leon Holmes seems to have made the right ones.

Not a single suprise on that list.
I was a little surprised at Specter voting for the nomination as he didn't support him out of the Committee but then he's running for reelection and chairman of the Committee... The other that surprised me a little was Landrieu as she has voted with the majority of the dems when they've opposed a nomination.....

You can have him back on January 20, 2008.I say, give him a break. As long as he's back by Feb 1st, 2009.
All you get in return is some real conservatives for the Senate and House. We'll do our best not to send RINOs.

What's with Warner voting against Holmes? Think it is way past time for him to retire?

I am shocked that Spectre voted for Holmes and that Landrieu also voted for him. Warner -- a little surprised. The rest -- not at all!

Kay Bailey has enormously disappointed me, for what it's worth. Holmes had opposition because he was pro-life and because he was Christian, and because he had the audacity to write about his Christian beliefs. That is all. This is the clearest example of anti-Christian bias that I've ever seen.
The left might as well hang up a sign that says, "Christians Not Welcome."

One must wonder if John F. Kerry and Edwards will bother to show up when FMA comes to a vote next week.
Bwahaha. One of the few real strokes of genius by Republicans.

SHEEEESH...Warner's such a Leftist SCUMBAG!!!
When's the next Cantor fund-raiser, partner?! We need to bend some folks' ears about Warner, the outta control domestic spending growth, and a few other things. Cantor's gotta lotta explaining to do, imho...with himn as DeputyWhip, why can't conservative GOPers in the House get more spending cuts sent to the Senate?! And why isn't Dubyuh more accommodating to Tom Delay and the RightWing folks?!
