"Doc Ock and Spiderman Rob Bank" screams the headline at the Daily Bugle in the new Spiderman 2 movie now playing. He's a menace!
Of course Jonah Jameson knew full well that Spiderman was actually attempting to stop the good Doctor from robbing the bank but that headline failed to fit his personal vendetta.
Something sounds very familiar here. "Bush runs Gulag" screams Al Gore. "Bush Lies," rants Ted Kennedy. "Bush Incompetent," sneers Nancy Pelosi. "Bush plays golf," carps Michael Moore. "Bush is like Hitler," defames George Soros and MoveOn.org.
It is apparent that the enemies of the US want the Democrat Party to win in November. Michael Moore's movie has been praised and endorsed by Hezbollah. There is good reason why terrorists love Moore and want the Democrats to succeed; it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
Bush and America have fought real villains and won. Al-Queda has been severly impaired. Saddam Hussein has been deposed. New hope shines in the hearts of the Iraqi people. The only malcontents are those who have lost the power they once had.
The extreme leftists in the Democratic Party would have us believe that Bush is a menace! He cant be trusted! He must be stopped!
Fortunately, in the Spiderman movie, the public at large is smart enough to see through the distortions of the truth propagated by the media and superhero antagonists. Let us hope the same holds true for George W. Bush in November.
Spidey Bump!
I thought they caught all of those in post-production?
they did it on purpose, as a tribute
ah...
Here is an article from the IHT (which I'm guessing is blocked from being posted as an article *sigh*). http://www.iht.com/bin/print.php?file=528686.html
The title is: Movies, politics and a missing formula
What is obvious in this review is that the author has no knowledge of the original comic book Spiderman. Meaning - Peter Parker has always been conflicted about being a super-hero. He didn't do it for popularity or for fame, but because it is the right thing to do. It is the right thing to save people and to get rid of the bad guys. Unlike other "human" superheroes (Batman leaps to mind) with un-ending wealth, Spiderman is a regular guy who is poor and struggling to get through college and pay the rent and take care of his family. He is the underdog because his powers are comparatively weak to the villains he fights with - what makes him win is his heart, which is the personification of the heart of America "get up and keep fighting." THAT is why Spiderman the movie is so popular, because Spiderman is a hero who limps and bleeds, but keeps on fighting anyway - because no one else can.
I'm better now, I know this is an old thread and stuff, but I had to respond to this flipping article, and your thread seemed to work. :)
