NEW HAVEN — A teenager has been arrested as the alleged gunman in a city man’s scheme to avoid being drafted by having himself shot in the leg.
Police arrested Alex Lowery, 17, whose last known address was 140 Hallock Ave., late Thursday on a warrant charging him with first-degree assault and weapons counts in connection with a June 24 shooting in the Hill.
This guy is too stupid to be in the army.
I am sitting at my computer desk crying I am laughing so hard..OMG....they should sentence him to never reproduce..people who are that stupid should not have children..any chance he is related to michael moron???
Dont be to hard on him hes just a boy.

I have an 18 year old intern who is freaked out by the draft too. He and his buddies talk about it all the time he told me.
This one took it just a tad too far IMO. ;)
Lots of places we could take this story.
1. A head shot would have been more effective.
2. does the Dawin award allow runners up?
3. Chalk one up for the gun control team.

17, a boy? 8 or 9 year olds are boys. And if he is just "a boy" he is either an extremely stupid boy or an extremely cowardly one.
Or both.
If I may make a small correction..it should be "A STUPID boy coward will one day be a STUPID adult coward."..Thank you.
We seriously need to create a set of awards for those extremely stupid people who try to become a Darwin award winner, but unfortunately fall short of doing so.

Actually, the shooter was the 17 year old.
The man who was shot was 20. Too old to be a stupid kid =;-)
The "boy" who wanted to be shot (and was) is 20 years old. I didn't consider myself a boy at that age.
Just damn.
This is a result of stupidity and the Dem's fear mongering "those eeee-vil Republicans are bringing back the draft" campaign.
How'd you like to have a drafted guy like this covering your back?

I hope he's not as freaked out as this guy. I mean, I think I worry about things that may never happen, I'm just a rank amateur compared to this fellow. And what about the guy who shot him?
I blame Charles Rangel, he's the one that started all this re-instate the draft stuff. Admitedly he wants to "draft the rich", but it looks like he's just managed to get the working class in a tizzy.
