FBI urges vigilance for July 4

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A constant stream of intelligence indicating that al Qaeda wants to strike the United States this summer or fall has led federal officials to urge increased vigilance during the Independence Day weekend, but there is no specific threat of an attack timed to the holiday.

One feature of this company is that the trucker himself/herself "verifies the seal"- (whatever exactly that means) rather than having to have that done by someone else.

Hipshot is correct. I worked at truck lines about 3 years, my dad is a retired teamster 30 years long haul( I am ducking) my sister did about 10 years.

Most fun job I ever had and 98% of them are the greatest people you will ever meet. You son will enjoy it. They take care of their own.

One time we had a new driver go to a bad area. He had just cashed his check and was robbed. He called in to let us know police and all that. By the time he got back that evening. We had taken up enough money to replace his whole paycheck which was about 600.00. VERY GOOD FOLKS!

Now a seal is on every long haul (over the road) trailer. It is for the company and the drivers to protect theft on both sides. They lock the trailer and put (a lock or) seal on it and it is not opened till the load arrives at destination. Long haul driver are away from there truck eating, sleeping etc. So they have to have some way to prevent people from stealing.

Boy could I tell some truck driver stories...

That entirely negates my theory of a concurrent "Tariq Al Quds" implemenation with attacks here.

They may plan to burn a path to Jerusalem with homicide bombers, and probably mop up with main force. We'd probably still see concurrency with attacks here, but of the same type through Iraq (resting in Syria), and into Israel. I'd bet the missiles would lead the way re Israel, if they use our tactics.

Can you imagine if say at a large holiday gathering, if someone is spotted leaving a bag, etc in a crowd and spotted by the all American "Let's Roll" kinda guy? What that crowd would do?! I have a feeling this will happen!

STRATEGIC

Their overall strategic plan is to reconquer "lands lost" in Europe and Asia, expel Israel, and reduce America as a world power. Long range strategic vision is to make the world a happy little islamic family singing kum-by-ya.

TACTICAL

The tactical approach they use is to take implements that are readily available and use them to supreme tactical advantage, in innovative form.




When we fight these jokers, we have to think of it in terms of a down in the gutter eye poking brawl where only one person is going to come out alive.

And, there's really NO NEED. We can do all we need to do in terms of walking around ALERT to threat potentials and probabilities within wisdom's boundaries.

There is an added dimension to their extremism. They have a military machine to include, where AQ and others don't.

Since Iran sees it as their "allah given duty" to destroy Israel, you can bet they will be using every available military resource to hit both of us.

I'm not going to blame the victim here, but that situation would NEVER arise if the muslim community had reacted as one with the rest of our nation.

This Travel Warning is being issued to alert U.S. citizens to increased security concerns in Bahrain. U.S. citizens in Bahrain should evaluate their own security situation and should consider departing.


The Department of State warns U.S. citizens to defer travel to Bahrain. American citizens currently in Bahrain are urged to consider departing.


The Department has received information that extremists are planning attacks against U.S. and other Western interests in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Credible information indicates that extremists remain at large and are planning attacks in Bahrain. In neighboring Saudi Arabia, for example, terrorists have targeted residential housing compounds using vehicle bombs, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries, including to American citizens.


U.S. citizens are reminded of the potential for further terrorist actions against U.S. citizens abroad, including the Persian Gulf region. U.S. citizens who travel to, or remain in, Bahrain despite this Travel Warning should register at the U.S. Embassy in Manama and enroll in the warden system (emergency alert network) to obtain updated information on travel and security in Bahrain.


As the Department continues to develop information on any potential security threats to U.S. citizens overseas, it shares credible threat information through its Consular Information Program documents, available on the Internet at http://travel.state.gov.
