HAPPY BIRTH DAY TO US!
America is a vast conspiracy to make you happy.
John Updike
We're Americans - with a capital A! And do you know what that means? Do you? It means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent country in the world.

The administration has been slow to make the case that fighting jihadis in Iraq is vastly preferable to tracking them down after they blow up American shopping centers. Excellent point that needs to be repeated over and over (not the failure of the administration to point it out but the fact that it is better to fight them there than here).

Terrific interview and see my post above.

Terrific interview and see my post above. Thanks...

As I noted above, much of the media is helping hamstring our efforts by highlighting casualties, ignoring accomplishments, and generally conveying the sense that we cant possibly succeed. My blood pressure rises every time something like Abu Ghraib and the strafing of the alleged "wedding" is plastered all over the front page, and reporters drone on about how "This is crippling the effort to win the hearts and minds of Iraqis" as if that's what they are really hoping for.

Just pulled in from a four-day road trip with rain chasing me or me chasing rain all the way. All tired and crabby, I read this interview where you nailed all the questions with clear and to-the-point answers.
After reading this thread and having a Dove ice cream bar, I'm feeling happy again.
Super job!

Congratulations to our own Interesting Times and the Free Republic Network!
You should be thanking Hon, who did most of the best Kerry/VVAW research here before some of the FRN got their noses bent that Free Republic itself might be the epicenter for what could have been a number important stories about Kerry this campaign. FR could have been a real player. Too bad about that. Why was it important to take this information outside of Free Republic, since the FRN and FR are completely independent entities?

You did an absolutely brilliant job in this interview. I'm sorry I didn't see it earlier.

Why was it important to take this information outside of Free Republic, since the FRN and FR are completely independent entities?Because it's easier to find a web site than a bunch of 3-month-old scattered FR threads?

Wow. I didn't know you were such close friends with MOJO (Hon), who runs the most despicable antifreeper website on the net. Did you know MOJO and his cronies are responsible for the recent "cease and desist" orders to Jim from other publications? They comb the website everyday and when they see a full copy post, they rip off a letter of complaint to the owners.
Funny thing is, most of those publications don't really give a hoot if we re-post their stuff here, but when they are "officially" notified of an infraction, they must take legal action or they could put their copywrite rights in future jeopardy.
But, you probably already knew that was going on...say HI to MOJO for us, will you?
