Do we have a running thread which shows Kerry's flip-flops? If not, I hope someone starts one and this should be added. It's just a little flip but he always talks out of both sides of his mouth.

I read Rush's transcript and what struck me is John F*kin' got ZERO applause in what is safe Rat territory. He's going to carry IL in November but they don't seem all that excited by their own nominee!

Then it went downhill. He had no energy. The audience had no empathy. Finally, in desperation he departed from his speech and said, "I know that you're tired of the words, I'm tired of the words too."

ROFL!!!

Guess he better fire his speechwriters and take more vitamins.

Kerry's speech was pathetic.

I saw the clip on Fox; personally, I was mesmerized by his hand gestures -- so utterly awkward and artificial, like a high school student giving his first speech, after someone told him to "don't stand there like a stick -- use some gestures," and he dutifully noted in the margins "raise right hand here," "gesture with both hands," etc.

They accuse the Reverend Jesse Jackson of selling out the black community by allowing automotive giant Daimler Chrysler help underwrite the cost of the convention. The carmaker is accused in a lawsuit of subjecting black buyers to racially discriminatory sales policies and making derogatory racial comments about African Americans.

WOW! They’re waking up in greater numbers!
“The Reverend” Jackson has long used extortion to get money from corporations. “Donate” or face a racial discrimination case. In this instance instead of the payoff going into his pocket it went into Hanoi John’s campaign chest.

I notice that this news story didn't mention that Chicago's Mayor Daley stood Senator Kerry up at the Push conference today...

Daley has been vocal about his lack of support for the Kerry campaign in the past. Apparently Kerry and his campaign has not been "kissing the ring" and giving enough political respect to the still powerful Daley machine. They forget that the Daleys "made" Kennedy and the Florida vote disaster. The Daley group thinks that Kerry has been spending too little attention their base.

Jackson's time as a "king maker" ended a decade ago. Its just now becoming obvious.

There is simply no way on earth Kerry can repeat Gore's 9 out of 10 black votes of 2000.

And thats the ballgame for Democrats.
