Chocolate chips cookies always!
"myself", even
**QUESTION:
Does anyone here believe - even for a second - that Teresa Heinz Kerry bakes her own cookies?**
My thought exactly -- Of course she doesn't!
Thanks for sharing!
The First Lady has nice cookies.
Nancy Reagan's Baja California Chicken
Cowboy Cookbook / submitted by Nancy Reagan
Easy recipe that is pretty tasty.

How on earth did Tay Raise Ahhhh make cookies that so closely resemble her face?
enquiring minds want to know........
I made them and they were really good. I think I forgot the cherries tho.. still good.
Tried to shape them like bats but that didn't work.
Nancy Clarke from Family Circle was on Fox and Friends this morning with the cookies. If I remember right Steve liked the pumpkin cookies. They liked both but leaned toward the Pumpkin cookies, but E.D. said that she would rather eat a Pumpkin cookie in the fall. I really think that they wanted to like the Chocolate Chip better.
I was busy in the kitchen while listening, but I was hoping they would pick the Chocolate Chip.
She may bake....one thing I've found knowing a few other Mozambiqueans...they LOVE to cook, rich or not.
Hey - kill the messenger, not the cookies! Both look great, but Mrs. Bush uses brown sugar (that's a plus in my professional opinion!), and Heinz-Married does not, even though pumpkin clearly calls for it.
Besides, I can't stand that ketchupy woman.

With electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg, pumpkin and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and allspice. Stir into pumpkin mixture. They had these cookies on Fox and Friends this morning. Mike what's his name(subbing for Brian) immediately liked the pumpkin cookies. E.D. and Steve went for the chocolate chip. E.D. knew who baked each recipe. The woman from the magazine said "you're not supposed to know". E.D. said it's public knowledge. Mike liked the pumpkin cookies because they reminded him of fall.... P.S. I find it hard to believe that any recipe of Hil's could beat anyone but she no doubt stole it from a pastry chef.
The most common cookie recipes aren't all that different, so if the first ladies and the wives of presidential candidates offer their favorite cookie recipes every four years, one could probably find identical recipes elsewhere that are popular among people of diverse political backgrounds.
Tereeeeeeeza's pumpkin cookies look like something my cat coughed up recently. ew.
Tereeeeeeeeeza's cookie looks like what my cat coughed up.
First Lady Laura Bush isn't a great cook (she readily admits it) but her cookie recipe is very good!
I've never understood recipes that say put in 1/2 a package of chocolate chips. Be realistic here ... what's the harm in just adding the other half cup? You know the cookies will be that much better with MORE chocolate! Besides, at my house, with a teenage son and his friends, that extra 1/2 cup of chocolate chips wouldn't last 3 minutes outside of the bag.
That said ... Laura's cookies sound scrumptious ... think I'll make a batch for the weekend celebrations
