President George W. Bush's job approval rating has fallen to the lowest number of his presidency, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News Poll, amid stiffening opposition to the Iraq war, anxiety that the invasion is inviting domestic terrorist attacks and skepticism that the White House has been truthful about the war or about prison abuses at Abu Ghraib.
They also forgot to mention that the poll was taken entirely in the NYTimes newsroom.
No Iraqis celebrated???
Yup. I've could be wrong, but I think Bush is going to win in a landslide and then it's going to become apparent to EVERYONE how the mainstream media LIES. As far as I'm concerned, these polls are themselves attempts to influence the electorate, assuming that people are sheep and will go with the "tide of opinion" they report. I think they're wrong.
When was this poll taken? If it was before the turnover, it is virtually meaningless. Come to think of it, so is the NYT's.
At this point in the campaign, the media will often pick out unrepresentative polls because - being different from what every other poll is saying - these polls are "newsworthy."
Plus, the liberal media is biased.
The concensus approval rating in the polls is just about 50 percent, which gives Bush a good advantage at this point in the campaign.
H*O*G W*A*S*H
Even if the poll is true, the media has shouted their agenda so loudly I cannot look at any poll now without wondering if it is an accurate representative of the public. They've broken faith. They've been caught fixing polls. They've lied about commission findings. They've become the DNC's Al Jazeera.
how do you know that is the actual fact?
Would you please be more specific?
I mean how do you know the poll was 50% rats and 40% Republicans (though that only adds up to 90%)
Product of government schooling.

Jun. 28, 2004 George W. Bush could carry the state of West Virginia in the 2004 United States presidential election, according to a poll by Zogby Interactive published in the Wall Street Journal Online. 49.1 per cent of respondents would vote for the Republican incumbent, while 43.1 per cent would support prospective Democratic nominee John Kerry.
Independent candidate Ralph Nader garners the support of 1.4 per cent of respondents. The election is scheduled for Nov. 2.
Support for Bush increased by 5.6 per cent since early June, while backing for Kerry dropped by 3.5 per cent.
Bush carried the states five electoral votes in 2000 with 51.9 per cent of all cast ballots. Democratic candidates have carried West Virginia in eight of the last 11 presidential elections.
Polling Data
What candidate would you vote for in the 2004 U.S. presidential election?
Jun. 21 Jun. 7
George W. Bush (R) 49.1% 43.5%
John Kerry (D) 43.1% 46.6%
Ralph Nader (I) 1.4% 2.4%
Assume I belive this pant-load: What does this say about Kerry since Bush is ahead in about every poll?
On the pages where most polls are seen, there is fine print (usually) stating the sampling group percents and methods.
Oops, that was meant for slings.
More government schooling (grin).
Hay, I wint to a hole bunch of scool!
