The President continued his visit in Ireland on Saturday with an EU summit. Saturday night, the First Couple flew to Ankara, Turkey, where they were received by the heads of state and Church.

Sunday, June 27th, the President reviewed the Turkey troops, laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Turkey's founder Kemal Ataturk in Ankara. He attended a formal photo shoot of the NATO Summit attendees, and then a welcoming dinner at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, Turkey. The NATO meetings will be held on Monday and Tuesday.

In a surprise sequence of events, L. Paul Bremer signed over full sovereignty to Iraq's interim government two days ahead of schedule in surprise ceremony; Saddam to be indicted this week.

Hello to you both!

I love both of the pictures. That one of Laura with the Pres--they both look so happy, and the Pres. looks a little bit mischevious in that one. It must be after the good news about Iraq, so he has reason to look happy.

And Tony Blair and Dubya make a wonderful pair. They both had a lot of courage this last year, and I hope people begin to realize the greatness of what they've done.

Most excellent pictures Truthy. My, how tired GWB looks in a few of them. Bags under the eyes. It's not easy being a world traveller.

They both look VERY happy, too.

Just ran out to do a few errands and overheard: "The dems will be complaining that "W" lied because the transference of power did not happen on June 30th as he had previously stated...." Good laugh was had by all in hearing distance.

Hi! Just wanted to get in. Just got in from work, have Bible study tonight so I know there will be hundreds of posts before I get back. Looks like Dubya and Tony Blair snookered them again!

Are these not wonderful pics? The President and Laura look soooo happy. I got a new one in the mail today from the RNC. It must have been made during the photo shoot for the LHJ article last spring. They are leaning against a column outside the Oval Office.

Our president did it! He brought freedom to 25 million Iraqis; may they use it well.

If you check Chirac's body language in every photo at the Nato summit, he's sulking, angry, and looks like a badtempered two year old who'd not getting attention.

LOL! Bush and Blair get the spotlight again!!!

Fantastic note. Pity Clinton doesn't have anything to match it among his 'legacy' mementoes.

No worries~~~ BJ's writing one now. It'll be found under the Rose Law Firm's billing records just in time to include in his next book.

Yes we did. Tiring but in a good way, we got to see some old friends. Liberals unfortunately though. But we had a good time nonetheless.

You are so right about Chirac. He never looks happy or joyful in any of these event photos but then it's of his own doing.

Do you know when that article will come out in LHJ? I'm excited to see a new article about them. Tell me about the picture . . .

Know what I got in the mail today? A letter on what I assume is 'official' WH stationery--it has a raised little seal on the top (an eagle holding the olive branches and arrows) and came in an envelope backed by cardboard. The personalized letter thanks me for my "kind words of support and for remembering me in your prayers."

It is signed by . . . the President! And looks like a "real" signature too--

I realize that many other people probably got the exact same letter, but it sure was a thrill for me!
