The President continued his visit in Ireland on Saturday with an EU summit. Saturday night, the First Couple flew to Ankara, Turkey, where they were received by the heads of state and Church.
Sunday, June 27th, the President reviewed the Turkey troops, laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Turkey's founder Kemal Ataturk in Ankara. He attended a formal photo shoot of the NATO Summit attendees, and then a welcoming dinner at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, Turkey. The NATO meetings will be held on Monday and Tuesday.
In a surprise sequence of events, L. Paul Bremer signed over full sovereignty to Iraq's interim government two days ahead of schedule in surprise ceremony; Saddam to be indicted this week.
Quote of the day:
Let freedom reign.
Those words were written on the note that was handed to Pres. Bush to iform him that Paul Bremer had turned over the reigns to the Iraqi leadership.
Since this is a Dose that spans 4 days, I chose two pictures of the day.
From Dromoland Castle Sat. June 26th
This is the other photo of the day - from dinner at palace in Ankara Turkey. Dubya (little devil made him do it) has got them ALL laughing! Great shot of Dubya laughing.
1st!
This is will be a marathon Dose. It will take some time for me to put up all the pictures I've garnered from the past 4 days.
Please wait for the all clear before posting or re-posting any photos you have found or want to emphasize. Thank you.
Wow - you're early. Thanks for the Dose!

This should be a good Dose today!!
LOL!! I know exactly what you mean.
I fell asleep on the couch last night and woke at 2:15am to the news that Iraq's leadership had been transferred. I became fully awake very quickly! Our President was wise in seeing that the transfer happened before the June 30 deadline. God bless him!
Truthy! Can I assist or help?
Free Republic is crawling with the anti Bush crowd lately...no matter what our President does, they'll trash him. Thankfully we have the Dose...a respite in the midst of the storm. :o)

President George W. Bush (L) and First lady Laura Bush wave as they board AirForce One to leave Ireland.
Saturday June 26th - the President and First Lady are in Ireland. The photos of the Prime Minsiter greeting the First Couple at the castle have been posted but I found these additional photos.
Laura Bush is greeted by Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern at Dromoland Castle in Co. Clare, western Ireland Friday June 25, 2004 at the start of the European Union/US summit meeting. The EU/US meeting runs until Saturday night, when the First Couple will fly to Turkey. Looks like the First Lady doesn't mind the kisses of Bertie Ahern of Ireland. They did the "each cheek" kiss thingy. It was cute but this is a bad shot.
Do you think maybe Dubya doesn't like this cheek kissing thing? Look at that expression!
