The President continued his visit in Ireland on Saturday with an EU summit. Saturday night, the First Couple flew to Ankara, Turkey, where they were received by the heads of state and Church.
Sunday, June 27th, the President reviewed the Turkey troops, laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Turkey's founder Kemal Ataturk in Ankara. He attended a formal photo shoot of the NATO Summit attendees, and then a welcoming dinner at the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul, Turkey. The NATO meetings will be held on Monday and Tuesday.
In a surprise sequence of events, L. Paul Bremer signed over full sovereignty to Iraq's interim government two days ahead of schedule in surprise ceremony; Saddam to be indicted this week.
What a chock-full Dose today! Thanks for posting all the wonderful pics...especially the note from Condi. That one choked me up so I'm emailing it to any and all liberals I know. :o) Great job Truth.
Fantastic note. Pity Clinton doesn't have anything to match it among his 'legacy' mementoes.
President Bush , left, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair smile after hearing remarks by French President Jacques Chirac during the opening session of the NATO summit in Istanbul, Turkey, Monday, June 28, 2004. Moments earlier at the beginning of the session Bush was informed and told Blair that the transfer of power in Iraq was complete.
The comraderie between PM Blair and Dubya is easily seen here. Thank God for these two men of vision.
Thank you for the Dose and the ping!
Thanks.
I finally got them all up!
Now, I'm leaving the building.

Maybe Cheney should talk to Clinton, too?
I think Bush should have said to cherac the same thing Cheney said to Leahy....
Sorry about the keyboard . . . but YOU started it! :-)
Glad you liked the quote--THANKS! Did you get all your errands done?
My favorite picture is the last one with the Pres. and First Lady together. They both look soooo happy.
THANKS for all of your work in putting these pictures together!
I do, too! I don't think Laura would approve, tho, and you know the press would have a field day . . . I think Cheney handled it exactly right.
well worth it...
If you check Chirac's body language in every photo at the Nato summit, he's sulking, angry, and looks like a badtempered two year old who'd not getting attention. That's France's problem, no one cares what they think, esp. when GW is around!
I'll be happy to look at that series of photos again. :o)
What a great day. Not only because Iraq has earned its soverignty, but also because the media was boondoggled by that "Dumb Dubya" again. Don't ya just LUV IT?
Thanks so much. Wonderful pictures.
***the media was boondoggled by that "Dumb Dubya" again. Don't ya just LUV IT?***
Yes, I LOVE it! The Dems must be in a tizzy!! :-) Kerry was on and said something stupid about "getting everybody all together in this" and I would have smacked him if I could have. (OOOOHH--someone else for Cheney to talk to!)
Just remember, Dubya plays chess, not checkers. Proven again.
I hadn't seen this one before and thought it deserves a re-posting. Both of these men have shown courage, determination, leadership and each risked their political lives to bring down evil and replace it with the seeds of freedom. May history judge them as well as they deserve.

Amen to everything you said, Prairiebreeze!
