Dear FRiends,
Just a note to let you know that I am home from the hospital after nearly 3 weeks of hospitalization. I am now in the direct care of my beloved wife.
I am far from healed from my afflictions (still have difficulty breathing and am considered diabetic due to the condition of my pancreas), but each day I feel God's blessings thanks to everyone's prayers.
I have read nearly every message on this thread and am unashamed to say that I have wept openly over the kindness and caring that each of you have sent my way through your prayers to the Good Lord.
Today I managed to walk 5 times to and from the front door to the kitchen. This may seem a small feat, but it is large considering the diminished capacity of my lungs. And with God's help and your prayers, I hope to be stronger tomorrow.
Thank you all for everything. I am indebted to you all eternally.
This is truely wonderful news! Not only that you are at home, but that you had the opportunity to read what was on the thread. In some respects its almost like being able to attend your own wake, and being given a second chance. God must have a reason for all this, and you being able to read what people wrote I take as a hopeful sign for the future.
Take care buddie, talk to ya soon.
I hope to be stronger tomorrow.
You will be. Take care.
Good to hear you're home from the hospital.
Take Care
Just wanted to pass along an update, I spoke with Jay and the turnaround has been stunning. I was amazed at how the doctors were talking about things long-term, about beating this thing entirely. Things were pretty dark after the surgery, with his pneumonia and surgery to drain his lungs, then the 1/3rd of his pancreas left failing, along with his kidneys. Then something amazing happened, a miracle; he got stronger. He beat the pneumonia, kidneys restarted, pancreas as well.
He and I agree it was because of people like you taking time out of your day to pray to God, and you have made a difference.
That's not to say that there won't be setbacks and bad days, but as of now he's making a point of doing laps around his place, with the number he does growing exponentially every day. As he says "he has to get healthy enough for Chemotherapy." He was blown away at your sentiments on this thread as well, it affected him deeply when he read it, and has lifted his spirits to this day, and for that we both say thanks. I think we can one day look forward to a precise skewering of one John F Kerry being passed around the internet again. For that W and America owe you for your praying.
Keep up the great work FReepers, we're all in this together.
Praise the Lord!
Great news!
Keep fighting and keep walking.
We'll keep praying.
PTL!! God is good!!! Thank you for the praise report! Give him a hug for us and let him know we expect him back soon!! He is really missed.
Your = you're.
Sheesh.
God is God, and His hand is strong to save!
This is outstanding. I have been thinking of you the past few days. I am so glad to hear the good news.
Thank you for updating us all and letting us know that Jay is doing well. He's been through so much. Please let him know that he is still in our thoughts and prayers.
There are tears of joy in my eyes. Thank G-d!
Prayer Bump!
The power of prayer; may Jay find healing in those prayers being said for him.
That is fantastic news! Be sure to tell him we're missing all the Kerry/Edwards/Whoopi stuff he could be dreaming up! I was just thinking about him today and wishing he could join us on the Library Tour!
Excellent! I'm glad the power of prayer does work. I know it is a long road to haul but I'm glad to hear that Prime Choice is doing a lot better. Hopefully we will get some more prime cuts for the Kerry campaign soon, especially with Edwards on the ticket, as we all know the "Two Johns" make good fodder.
So sorry to read this. My prayers are with him.
In the Name of the Lamb, we lift High our Sovereign God, amen!
Oh my goodness .. what a great report. Thank you for sharing this.
My Pastor always used to say .. "whose report do you believe .. the doctor or GOD?".
The word "salvation" in the Greek language means: safety, soundness, preservation, healing, deliverance, and provision. Looks like we got the whole package.
