New television and radio ads released today by Move America Forward - group which was formed to support our troops and the war on terrorism (and which was highly critical of Michael Moore's new anti-military/anti-Bush propaganda flick).
The radio and TV ad can be found by visiting this website link: http://www.moveamericaforward.org/?Page=AdCampaign
I work for the group and your opinions are certainly appreciated (negative or positive).
A fabulous ad. I hope they flood the airwaves with this one.
Outstanding ad. The best I've seen.
I love that ad, It's exactly what I think our 527 groups need to do is call out the media on their biased reporting. That's something the campaign doesn't need to get involved in.
I also think they need to remind America about 9/11 and the fact Saddam and Osama had been in contact for years.
Very good ad.
A longer version would be nice, too, maybe with more specifics.
There are so many great stories from the troops, how they interact and help the people. It is a shame that the libs don't want to see the good our guys (gender neutral) are doing.
Bravo on the ad. I can't wait to see it in the marketplace. It's about time that we are fighting back. I don't feel any longer that the Dems have the upper hand.
Outstanding TV ad! Only suggestion would be to make it a little more lengthy if at all possible. Also, strike the comment about the "the vast majority doing their job..." phrase as it implies that some number are not doing their job. That number is so small as to not even require a mention.
A contribution is in the mail on Monday.
What media player are you using? I can't get it to play.
Good ad. I like the tactic of using the leftist's words against them (as the new Bush 'wild-eyed' ad does so brilliantly). It strips them of their defenses and exposes them to ridicule and shame, and that's a good thing.
Great ad. Howard Kaloogian's a very bright guy. I hope he stays involved.
This is great.
Kaloogian and friends just got some of my money.
That's worth a $20 contribution...
excellent ad.
AWESOME!!! That ad is outstanding!!!!
It is truly amazing that this is the only pro-U.S. troops ad that I have seen.
The original script read (paraphrasing here): "despite what the news media reports, our heroes of the armed forces are doing their job with the highest degree of character and honor..."
It was actually our announcer who wanted to change it a bit. His reasoning was that everybody accepts that at least some people at Abu Gharib did something they weren't supposed to do, but we all know that most all of them are great guys/gals, and that most of the things at Abu Gharib weren't even actually bad. Some were stupid or odd. But only a select few examples were actually something wrong or inappropriate.
So, he argued that to call contrast to how the media impugns the character of ALL of the men and women serving in the armed forces in the Middle East was to have a verbal attention-hook that draws the contrast. He was afraid without the "vast majority" (which he tried to put a vocal emphasis on) that your mind got a bit lazy and didn't hear the point of that portion of the ad. In other words a vocal technique to make you catch the point: these guys and gals are great, but the media sure doesn't tell you about the greatness, just the F***ups.
So... that was the rationale... but you're point is a good one. It's why the ad script was originally as it was. I've already copied your points and sent them off to the leaders of our team for further discussion. I can see both sides of this argument, and what is most important is that the general public get the message, and doesn't have any negative association with the way the final script was and what our boys (and girls) are doing overseas
Thanks a lot for your input.
This is a 60-second ad, but when we were done with the finishing touches in the production studio the team members we worked with were all commenting that it seemed to go by so fast.
We concluded that this must be a good sign - if a movie or show seems to go on and on, it's a bad thing. If it seems to end too fast and you want more, it hopefully is a good sign.
:) - that's my optimistic appraisal anyways!
I used Windows Media. But I also have a version of Real Player that plays .wmv files - so I've played it on both players.
I support you and the goals of the organization
Please e-mail me is there is anything I can do. I can do computer work and computer FX
In Los Angeles ready to work to relect the president
Still in the short hand needed to describe people, I understand why I'm labeled "pro-war". But it's a poor descriptor of what I want. I want peace.
I love it!!
I will admit I have a partiality for anything that takes the media to task. They, academia, and our judicial activists have undermined this country for far too many years.
The use of journalistic history tied in with present day event reporting is an eye opener for anyone unaware.
This ad manages to flawlessly blend the media highlights with the progress our troops have made.
By the end of the ad the pride it allows in our troops is immeasurable.
Well done.
