I had an interesting encounter today while at my sil's house. First, let me start by saying that we were out in very rural Ohio visiting my sil. As we were leaving, 2 college age men came by with "Americans Coming Together" shirts on knocking at my sil's door. Big deal, right. The dems had their stooges out hitting the pavement trying to muster up votes. Well, here is the big deal about it...
They come up to the door as we were leaving, asking for my sil's oldest daughter BY NAME! This girl does not attend college, does not have any interest in politics, is on drugs, welfare, WIC, has a one year old son out of wedlock, and the whole kit and kaboodle. It then occured to me that these guys had a list for the area they were contacting and that list had to come directly from those who are ON PUBLIC ASSISTANCE!!!! There is just no other way they would have had my sil's daughter's name, no other way. Now maybe this isn't new for some of you more seasoned folks out there, but I thought this was so underhanded and disgusting. Folks, this area has a lot of teenage mothers who live with their parents so I can only assume these boys had their little roster of welfare recipients and they were sniffing around for votes. They also had a pretty big bag with them and hubby was dying to know what 'freebies' they were carrying around in it--we speculated cigarettes or coupons for cigarettes since this area has a high concentration of smokers too ie have a pack and vote for Kerry.
In case you are wondering, I walked by them and hubby and I continued to converse with one another in earshot about how something just jogged our memory about putting on our Bush 2004 sticker. Also, SIL is a die hard Union person and told them point blank that she doesn't care for Bush, but she cares even less for Kerry and does not intend to vote for him. She said something to the effect that she's a proud American and could not in good faith submit her vote for an extreme leftist and still consider herself such. I was proud of her. Thankfully the stooges did not get access to the welfare mom. Hubby laughed anyway that they might get her registered, but good luck making someone who can't even make her own child a priority care about walking into a voting booth. Unfortunately dems know this and probably would bus her in with offers of a freebie. I'm convinced if their constituency were left to their own devices, they'd lose by far more than they do.

I live in southern ohio, these idiots were at my door this week, They asked specifically for me, not my husband, by name, I assusmed they were working from a list of registered democraps. (I am still registered as a democrap...long story. No, not on public assistance)
because the first question they asked was what was my policital affiliation, democrap or republican, apparently they didnt have an option for neither because she became confused and looked a long time at her little pda before clicking.
Then she started to ask who I was going to vote for..."in the upcoming election who-" I cut her off and said "Bush" she was done with me then.
It got me to wondering though, who's to say she put Bush on her little pda instead of Kerry? And if they are only asking registered democraps who they are voting for, thats one heck of a skewed poll. I have kind of been watching to see if any numbers come out or what they are doing with this data.

I was taking a nap and they woke me up or I would have had some fun. As it was I was only half with it. I went straight to the computer after they left and looked up their funding-George Soros of course, If I'd only have known prior to that peck on the door, I would have set my dog loose "by accident".
