June 25 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. President George W. Bush and Democratic challenger John Kerry are in a statistical tie for support in Wisconsin, a survey of state residents found.
The University of Wisconsin Survey Center polled 504 people age 18 or older, regardless of whether they were registered to vote. The June 15-23 poll found 46 percent supported Bush, 42 percent favored Kerry and 5 percent backed independent candidate Ralph Nader. The survey's margin of error was plus or minus 4 percentage points.

Rule of thumb: When is Bush is up by 4, the headline reads "statistical tie"... when Kerry is up by 4: "Kerry beating Bush in... "
This is a poll of "adults"... so add a few points to Bush's lead...
How is it a tie when W is up by 4 points?
Thanks to Rats paying homeless folks cigarettes for votes, and Marquette students voting multiple times.
Headline should be: "BUSH PULLING AWAY FROM KERRY IN WISCONSIN -- Daschle 'Deeply Saddened'"
This poll is crap, it didn't even try to use registered voters let alone likely voters.
MORE good poll news. hey, johnny boy! squirm, beeeeyatch!!
It's within the Margin of Error - the statistical estimate of the poll's quality.
Of course, polling "adults" rather than "registered voters" or "likely voters" muddies the water even more.
It may be crap, but it is crap against the dims. This poll is a huge bias in favor of the dims, and Bush is still ahead by 4 points.
EXXXXXXXXXXXcellent Smitthers........./Burns voice
They also forgot to ask "If you are a liberal, how many times will you be taking advantage of wisconsin's extremely lax voting laws and voting for john kerry???"
Yeah but even with all that skewing, Bush is still up by 4.
So a 4 point lead, D bias of the likelihood of voting, the D bias of non-registered adults is reported as a 'statistical tie'
If Kerry can't pull Wisconsin I just can't see him winning - Because this would certainly take away any thoughts of Kerry winning MO - and it would also lead one to believe Iowa will be very competitive as well -
Still about 6 weeks from really knowing where this race stands (in terms of Kerry as a challenger) - While we can at times start to worry about where GWB stands as an "incumbent" (approval rating, needing to start a small lead ,etc) -
Though, things have seemed to tweak GWB way in the past 2 weeks - IMO
you dems,loosers,libs,anti-U.S., nut cases just can not get over the last election. Your looser candidate lost everytime the votes were counted. you just do not have the ability to """MOVE ON.ORG"""
You put out your worst possible candidate, because you "rushed to vote", and now your stuck with him. none of you like him--you know it. You are harboring so much hatred toward this honorable president, and you don't even know why.I guess it's because Dan Rather tells you to. If John Kerry and Teddy Kennedy would have talked like have in recent back in ww2 they would have been hanged for treason. Those troups unfortunately are fighting to protect your commi ass too. open your eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gee, was it something I said, Rusty? - I like your sentiments, but if they're aimed at me because of what I posted above on this old thread, maybe I didn't make myself clear - I was essentially agreeing that 'rats are sore losers - and suggesting that in fact their whine that "Gore won the popular vote" might not even be valid because many absentee ballots were never counted, either because the 'rats deliberately tried to have them invalidated or because in some states the counting supposedly stopped as soon as the outcome of the vote was determined regardless of how the absentees went (although I have seen attempts to debunk this claim since last June) - in other words I was saying that Gore in fact just possibly didn't receive the majority of the popular vote, had every vote really been counted........
