WASHINGTON, June 25 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Kerry campaign spokesperson Phil Singer issued the following statement in response to the Internet ad on George Bushs website featuring images of Adolph Hitler: The fact that George Bush thinks its appropriate to use images of Adolph Hitler in his campaign raises serious questions about his fitness to spend another four years in the White House. Adolph Hitler slaughtered millions of innocent people and has no place in a campaign that is supposed to be about the future and hope of this nation. The Presidents use of these images during a month that evoked the memory of World War II is remarkably insensitive to the sacrifices of the millions of people who lost their lives during Hitlers reign of terror. The Bush Campaign should immediately remove these hateful images from its website and apologize for using them. The use of Adolph Hitler by any campaign, politician or party is simply wrong.
during the upcoming debates, all GW has to ask is:
"Senator Kerry, do you support the claims of MoveOn.com"?
"and the rants of AlGore?"
then, I want him to ask Kerry,
"do you support reparations for African Americans"?
Why didn't anyone ping me?
I'm on the 'Seig Heil" ping list, right?
I agree that the ad might be too confusing - it is getting hard for even INTELLIGENT, INFORMED people to figure out what is going on...I think any future ads need to be much more blatant and less suggestive and artsy...
scr$w artsy...
next ad should say:
"The Democrats have had the support of many illegal campaign partners that place ads and create movies that suggest the President is racist, bigoted, and Hitler-like."
Then show MM and GORE and Kennedy going nuts and finally, fade to a dark screen, and then a quiet little Dick Cheney voice says...
"F*ck 'em".
It's a compilation of kerrys ads...........FRegards
who has the link to Pelosi's name on the list of the "Democratic Socialist Senators"? This is actually an official organization! I am amazed ANY one would ADMIT to being a member of this group at all, much less a Senator (actually several)...i'll go google...
I second that.
Clear, concise messages.
Artsy and avant garde may win awards, but they don't get the message over.
Right now, GWB NEEDS to get his message out. His PR has been abysmal. He doesn't need artsy to muddle the message.
hey kerry!!! the Veep "cc"'ed you on the message he sent to leaky laheay!!
Deal with it mz kerry heinz!!! (sissy sub boy to the nth power)
Am I wrong, but isn't that first red "Hitler" in that ad the one THEY used -- and isn't it George W. Bush?
I wish I had counted the time today I've said that same word while I'm listening to and reading this crap.........LOL.
You are not wrong. Google this in the news and you will see that about half of the stories don't even mention that the images is actually taken from moveon.org.
Thinking undecideds (all five of them) might be impressed by the ad. But the Great Unwashed won't get it, and will just conclude Bush likes Hitler. The ad would have been more effective if it just used the Gore, Dean and Kerry footage (the Gore clip is great).
The list was originally linked directly to the Democratic Socialists of Amerika web site, until it conveniently disappeared from there just before the 2000 election because they were being exposed for the closet communists they are by avenues such as World Net Daily, The WSJ, and by letter-writing efforts of FReepers all over the country.
Can't have the American public knowing about our Congressional Commies now, can they?
the Kerry whackos put out "Bush is Hitler" pieces and when Bush / Cheney strike back by incorporating it within their other hate-filled speech - they cry foul? I'll let Dick Cheney express my reservations about that ROFLMAO
This is insanity.
Do the Kerry people not know that it is from MoveOn.org's ad as an example of leftist hate speech? Or are they deliberately lying and hope enough people get this hateful and vile message that it is the GWB campaign somehow using the image for some inconceivable purpose.
I vote the latter.
But use of phrases like "Digital Brownshirts" etc... by the leftist is A-OK, right John?
Tell ya what, Kerry you a-hole. When you disavow Gore's statements calling us Nazis then I'll agree with you... How 'bout it, BotoxBoy?
Talk about chutzpah. As Kerry's people well know, the images of Hitler on the website were taken from the moveon.org website, where they featured an ad comparing Bush to Hitler. And now they have the audacity to complain that the Bush campaign is using those images in a web ad? Outrageous!
Here's the response from the Bush Campaign about this (I don't know if this has already been posted on FR --probably-- but I got if from the Bush email list)...
On Thursday, the campaign launched a web video titled Kerry's Coalition of the Wild-eyed. The video featured Democrats who support John Kerry making negative and baseless attacks against the President. Interspersed in the video were segments of two ads that appeared on a website sponsored by MoveOn.org - a group campaigning for Kerry - in January.I think they said it better than I did. Not whining. And, just for those of us who have been a little sketchy about the campaign strategy, we can know that this campaign is measured and means business.
On Friday night, John Kerry's campaign denounced our use of these ads, and called that use "disgusting."
The Kerry campaign says, "The use of Adolf Hitler by any campaign, politician or party is simply wrong."
We agree. These ads, like much of the hate-filled, angry rhetoric of Kerry's coalition of the Wild-eyed, are disgusting. We created this web video to show the depths to which these Kerry supporters will sink to win in November.
- Where was John Kerry's disgust when he hired Zack Exley - the man responsible for encouraging the production of these ads as part of a MoveOn contest - to run the Kerry campaign's internet operation?
- Where was John Kerry's sense of outrage when Al Gore, just yesterday afternoon, compared the Bush Administration to the Nazis saying, "The Administration works closely with a network of 'rapid response' digital Brown Shirts who work to pressure reporters and their editors for 'undermining support for our troops.'"
- Where was John Kerry's anger when Al Gore in May spoke of "Bush's Gulag"?
- Why has John Kerry not denounced billionaire and Democrat Party donor George Soros for comparing the Bush Administration to Nazis. Soros stated, "When I hear Bush say, 'You're either with us or against us,' it reminds me of the Germans. It conjures up memories of Nazi slogans on the walls, Der Feind Hort mit ('The enemy is listening')."
- Why has Kerry not spoken out against filmmaker Michael Moore who last October compared the Patriot Act to Mein Kampf. "The Patriot Act is the first step. 'Mein Kampf' - 'Mein Kampf' was written long before Hitler came to power."
Is this the Democratic Party of Franklin Delano Roosevelt who reassured his countrymen we have nothing to fear but fear itself?
No. This is John Kerry's Coalition of the Wild-eyed, who have nothing to offer but fear-mongering.
