The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has released a letter purportedly from the Dalai Lama, asking K-F-C's parent company not to open a chicken restaurant in Tibet.
The Dalai Lama is quoted as saying that while most Tibetans are not vegetarian, they eat larger animals, such as yaks, so that fewer animals will die.
The letter says it hurts the Tibetan Buddhist leader to see plucked chickens hanging in meat shops in India and live chickens caged outside restaurants while they wait to be killed.
In Louisville, a spokesman for K-F-C's parent company said, "We haven't received a letter from His Holiness," but added, "We have no plans today to enter Tibet."
PETA creating news out of thin air again?
If he doesnt like hanging chicken baskets in India....he needs to go to a 'New Deli"
HELLO Dali....you dont like it....close your eyes...and follow your nose...you might even like the Colonels Xtra Crispy..

I know I would rather eat roasted Llama than fried chicken NOT!!
Guns Before Butter.
Apparently:
"In Louisville, a spokesman for K-F-C's parent company said, 'We haven't received a letter from His Holiness,' but added, 'We have no plans today to enter Tibet.'"
Dalai Lama doesn't even live in Tibet.
Their name is wrong. It should be People for the Unethical Treatment of Humans.
A big bunch of puthies, in other words...
The tiger sniffed at him from above. Terrified, the monk looked down to where far below, another tiger had come, waiting to eat him.
Two mice, one white and one black, little by little began to gnaw away at the vine.
The monk saw a bucket of Colonel Sander's Original Recipe Kentucky Fried Chicken (TM) near him.
Grasping the vine with one hand, he plucked a drumstick with the other.
How sweet it tasted!
By that reasoning, Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot were more moral than the Orkin Man. Actually, PETA probably agrees.
Gunga galunga. Gunga, gunga galunga
Huh? If KFC isn't opening a franchise is Tibet then what's the point of the article? As if PETA can't find something real to report.
Notice that this guy is the only "religious leader" the wacko Left listens to.
They hate Christianity and all it stands for and they are almost universally anti-Semetic, but every time this bozo mutters something, they treat it like manna from Heaven and get out there little notebooks and scribble it down as if it were holy scripture.
I also noticed that the extremely Left wing LinkTV network is giving away his newest book as a premium for donations. Think they'll offer something by David Wilkerson or Billy Graham next?
So they think a religious leader can dictate what others do? Yet another example of the hypocrisy of the left.
So PETA lies AGAIN?
"Gunga galunga. Gunga, gunga galunga"
Big hitter, the Lama.
Many years ago, on an airplane flight, a newspaper columnist talked the Dali Lama about politics and Tibet. It was noted by the writer that the Dali Lama had just finished an airplane meal of roast lamb.
As of this moment, no chicken has registered one cluck of objection to KFC.
