"I plan to continue taking Communion and would love to receive it from a woman priest some day soon," she said in a written statement.

It's disturbing to watch these Democrat monsters spit in the face of Christ, but it's even more disturbing to watch as the bishops of the Catholic Church invite this behavior.

So you're blaming the bishops for doing their job? Would you rather they just went along with abortion? Please clarify.

"I plan to continue taking Communion and would love to receive it from a woman priest some day soon," she said in a written statement.

Since she obviously hates the Church, why doesn't she quit and found her own religion?

What if they had a religion and nobody came?

Yes. But, I think that God has a more severe penalty against these pro-death politicians than simply the denial of communion.

They may as well not take communion..if one is not willing to recognize or confess one's sin or is penitent...it's a waste of time and effort...and probably another sin to boot...for both the priest who knows the sinner is unrepentant and the sinner him/herself..better to stay home then to further compound the damage to one's soul
imo

The reality is that you 'receive' Communion; not 'take it'. These Catholic non-gratas could not 'take it'; if it were not given to them.

The Bishop needs to rise to the occasion. This is more than a 'bit wobbly' - so to speak.

"I go to Communion when I want to go, and no bishop, no pope, they're not going to keep me from my religion," she said.

You, my friend, have no idea what your religion is.

'Are the pedophile priests who are in prison receiving Communion?'

Are they publicly supporting a "right" to pedophilia? Silly twit.

This is what you hope for as a Catholic. You are not given the Sacrament of Communion until age 7(usually) because the Catholic Church considers that the age of reason. In other words, you have a conscience and you know right from wrong and understand the consequences of the Ten Commandments and the violations of same. Obviously, these people do not have a conscience. Thou shall not commit murder is considered a pretty big Commandment to follow! LOL

His admonition didn't change Lexington Mayor Teresa Isaac's mind. "I plan to continue taking Communion and would love to receive it from a woman priest some day soon," she said in a written statement.

"They know what the church law is, so they have to answer for that. They know what is expected of them."

Oh, that's a mighty big presumption, bishop.

Somebody has the job of teaching, now who could that be??? Repetition is the mother of learning, bishop. Keep telling us what the Church teaches over and over and over again, maybe we'll figure it out.

Because you are a public, persistant and obstinant sinner, babe.

You are making the murder of innocent human beings possible, kid.

Yeah, you're right, the priests that engaged in homosexual activity are sinners too. Why don't you help them and publicly repent of your sins and ask them to reconcile themselves to Jesus. You can do it, I know you can.

But Democratic state Rep. Mary Lou Marzian of Louisville, a Catholic who supports abortion rights, wonders why politicians are being singled out.

She either has a room temperature IQ, or she is being totally disingenuous and dishonest.

I favor the latter. She just wants the "Catholic vote" without keeping the tenets of the Catholic faith.

She knows perfectly well that the reason politicians are being singled out is because by virtue of their position they are creating a public scandal. Private offenders in ordinary life do not have the potential of leading the faithful astray or causing scandal and division in the Church. At such time as their offenses DO become a public scandal, they too may be barred from receiving.

I hope more and more bishops step up to the plate on this one. Solidarity and persistence are needed.
