Clinton claim causes stir in NZ
24 June 2004

Bill Clinton has raised eyebrows in New Zealand after claiming his wife, Hillary Clinton, was named after famous Kiwi mountaineer Sir Edmund Hillary, AFP reported today.

Problem is, Hillary conquered Mount Everest in 1953, almost seven years after infant Hillary was born.

Clinton makes the claim in his memoir, My Life, which went on sale this week.

The former president travelled to New Zealand several times while in office and referred to Sir Edmund as "the second favourite Hillary in our household". Hillary Clinton herself has attributed her name to the mountaineer.

Clinton's book has set a record for first day non-fiction sales with 400,000 copies bought in the United States, the former president's publisher says.

"This Hillary/Hillary business was raised and shot down 10 years ago."

This is proof that Clinton didn't write his own 'autobiography'. Whoever penned this rubbish didn't know that the 'Hillary' thing had already been exposed as a lie. It's really amusing to see how many liberal sheep he has wrapped around his finger though, with this book breaking records for sales. Weird.

Hillary herself left it out of her book. She is so much smarter...in a wicked, diabolically kind of way.

They don't seem to have learned much in the first 55-60 years of life; or worse, they don't seem to care.

They've hurt so many people. "It's a Wonderful Life" in reverse.

I guess the New Zealanders can use the laugh. It's a very serious, cold place.

That must be why so many of your fellow countrymen and women come to New Zealand for the snow, Fred. Australia has effectively no snow in comparison. A very serious place? Good to see an Aussie with a sense of humour.

To adapt a line from Blackadder slightly -

"'My Life', the greatest work of fiction since vows of fidelity were included in the French marriage service."

Yes, New Zealand snow is the best, and so is the scenery. But compared to Oz it quite cold. I have met many people from New Zealand (there's no shortage!) and I guess 'polite' would have been a better word than 'serious' ...

Dorothy Rodham is quoted as saying "Hillary" was a boy's name at the time of her daugthers birth...

And HRC was known as "Diane Rodham" for most of her childhood.

What if...

Hillary's birth certificate really belongs to one of her brothers and isn't her own?

Search the internet and you can't find any birth date information for anyone in the Rodham family, except for Hillary.

Is this Hillary really "Hillary?"

Something fishy about her.
Even Dick Morris claims that Hillary
is desperate to hide her true identity.
