Washington, DC-- In a major Washington policy address this Thursday, former Vice President Al Gore will accuse the Bush Administration of intentionally misleading the American people by continuing to falsely claim a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda.
He will charge that Bush and Cheney have "institutionalized dishonesty as an essential element of their policy process."
Gore will also urge the broadcast media to further resist Administration efforts to manipulate and intimidate them, to fearlessly report the fact that there is no Al Qaeda/Saddam collaborative relationship, as the 9/11 Commission staff report has concluded.
Gore will also discuss the implications of the Administration's claim to be above the law in ordering the torture of suspects - and their claim that the Commander in Chief's power trumps all other laws. He will call for the Administration to reveal all orders given the military on the treatment of prisoners.
Developing...
Recalls similar testimony:
"there is no relationship with Ms. Lewinsky"
Of course there is no relationship: Saddam's in the klinker.
All depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is.
I guess we can look forward to lots of gutteral yelling and earth tones.
Bad link; here it is:

No, it's to get Bush's and Cheney's "trustworthiness" rankings down. All well orchestrated, the 9/11 Commission is in on it too - for example, little inserts into the "staff" reports that may seem insignificant to the big picture but are selected and amplified in the usual suspects - NYTimes, WashPost and Newsweek.
Actually, they've been very effective. Most second tier media won't question those outlets despite nemver naming a source for their reflexive denials within 24 hour newscycles.
Okay. While he's at it, perhaps someone will come out and explain how the sitting Vice President of the United States (yes, I agree, it's hard to say that) tried to steal the 2000 election. The RNC has been pretty quick to answer the "other side of the aisle" lately...
Then he and the rest of the naysayers can sit back as evidence after evidence is shown to him about how there WAS a link between Sadaam and Al Qaeda...and, very likely, a link between Sadaam and 9-11 (though the Administration did not say that there was such a latter link).
What greater pain in life is there (aside from death) than being utterly irrelevant?
So why would anyone be interested in a bunch of wild accusations from a private citizen?
At least now we know why Tipper Gore has been so intensely interested in mental health issues.
No kidding.
Excuse me? Why is Al Gore making a "major foreign policy address?" He's a private citizen - he doesn't hold public office, anymore -- he doesn't frigging MAKE foreign policy! I mean, if we're tuning in on the psycho-babble rant factor from unimportant civilians, let's get Ted Turner to make the foreign policy addresses - he's entertaining, especially when he puts that tin-foil pyramid on his head......oh, he doesn't? Too bad - would be so much easier to identify the moonbats that way.
How 'bout, while he's speaking?
/smile
He will charge that Bush and Cheney have "institutionalized dishonesty as an essential element of their policy process."
Gore has truly lost it. I think this reflects a defense mechanism called "projection" where one sees their own fault and shortcomings in others when it does not exist but fail to see it in themselves where it does exist(related closely to paranoia). Besides if anyone knows about "institutionalized" its Al Gore.
Yes to both questions. They know he's nuts and use him as a willing patsy.
"Gore will also urge the broadcast media to further resist Administration efforts to manipulate and intimidate them, to fearlessly report the fact that there is no Al Qaeda/Saddam collaborative relationship, [as the 9/11 Commission staff report has concluded.]"
That the leftists are trying to undermine national security and national unity is in itself a disgrace.
AND, I'll repeat myself:
Gore had best be careful. We Freepers have links and can write letters by the hundreds using links we have.
Clinton's Justice Department indicted OBL in 1997 and linked OBL with Iraq!!!!!!!!!
BINGO!
We are about to see the proof of the Saddam/911 connection.....they are in full attack mode to suppress it.
Isn't there a Hillary quote just
nailing the connection?
algore's 15 minutes were up in 1998
Al Gore is just seeking attention to himself. If I am not mistaken, Bush has been clear about his previous statements, it is the Liberal media that has been distorting.
"...Ooooops, wrong speech."
-- Al Gore, Dec. 16, 1998
Poor Algore.......
A mind is a terrible thing to waste.
