It's always one more, let's wait, let's build a coalition, they killed another one?, let's wait, we need allies, they killed three thousand?, we can't be rash here, be patient...

Which is why a 17 UN resolution record and an 18-month buildup is called a "rush to war."

What I'd like to know is WHY these news sources who get these tapes beheading tapes delivered to them are NOT helping authorities?

They are AIDING these terrorists by NOT helping authorities find these terrorists. I say this because I understand ANOTHER TAPE has been delivered to a news source.

I can't believe no one saw them dump the body. This country isn't that big.

Size of Texas. And bodies have been dumped in highly populated areas here in the US with no witnesses. Not all that hard to believe.

"If all of America was used to seeing such things, especially in contrast to the guy with panties on his head, I think we'd have a much more balanced view of what this war is really about."

Personally, I think that most liberals got sexual satisfaction from the Prison "abuse" photos. I can picture them downloading them on their personal computers using "one hand" while auto stimulating themselves. Soon after they gratify themselves, they launch into a raging partison and anti-American rant on how horrible it was.

I think this to be very accurate.

Beheadings, including mass beheadings, are very common in human history, and not just with Islam.

Sorry to see them making a comeback.

" I can't help but wonder how many murders of innocent people is required before the leftwingnuts understand the nature of this enemy "

If today's media and Democrat response to the horrible and devasting news that Rumsfeld approved using wet towels and mild physical contact on the Al Queda in Gitmo is any indication-
the Democrats and the media will never, ever understand the nature of the enemy.
The Pentagon is releasing memos later today that will be the main topic on the nightly news shows.
Rumsfeld nixed waterboarding ( damn), but, the media and the Dems are still hysterical over the nursery school tactics approved by Rumsfeld.
When the Democrats are so upset that Ahmed the Beheader gets some water up his nose, you know we are in trouble as a nation.
When half the country is fighting the enemy and the other half is defending the enemy, victory is that much more difficult.

"It's too bad we can't hunt down a democrat and sever his head every time the muslims do the same. I think a few headless democrats hanging out in public would wake the American public up."

We will be able to, after the next revolution begins. ;)

Seriously, in this kind of enviroment, one could easily slip into the "Dark Ages" again where we all become like the enemy. We must resist that, as much as we can.

You assume, incorrectly, that these people are not being watched.

Castration might be a better option. Remove something they actually use.....

Your view of the ROKs is right on. After a few sniper rounds would come from a village there would be no village. They operatd by their own rules and very soon the VC got the message not to mess with them. The could patrol safely at will.

1:45 PM GMT was over ten hours ago by my reckoning. It's not a very recent article, as best I can tell.

This morning CNN admitted they had been "duped" by a Pentagon insider that leaked this memo stuff. The "leaker" gave them the memo's, but didn't give over Rumsfeld's responding "cover sheet".

"I can't help but wonder how many murders of innocent people is required before the leftwingnuts understand the nature of this enemy."

The left does not understand that these terrorists would use a dirty bomb or nuke in a stadium full of people just as quickly as they behead hostages. It is just a matter of time before we see a huge disaster with a massive loss of life here in the U.S. if we don't kill them first.

The leftwingnuts will just say, "If we just give peace a chance and TALK with them they won't hurt anybody anymore. We must understand what they want and give it to them to save our little hineys." My only fear is that we don't know who has the guts to stand up through the darkest hour and who may just cave.

It's a good thing we now have the UN and the Geneva Convention so everyone fights all civil like these days.

What a joke. If we're going to be at war, we need to be at war and act like it.

We need to hurt our enemies more than they can possibly hurt us. The next time they behead one of our guys, 20 guys at Abu Grhaib get lined up and shot. Do it again, another 20 get shot. Want another 20 shot? Kill another one of ours and it'll happen.

We need to make it clear in their mind that we can inflict far more damage on them than they can inflict on us.

We need to make it clear that we have far more resolve to win than they will ever have. At least I hope we do. Do we?
