You can click to the TVC website, and look at "A Gender Identity Disorder Goes Mainstream" As well, Gender-Identity-Disored/Cross dressing are still considered mental disorders by the American Psychiatric Association, though the APA, probably, will sooner-or-later change that.

We are all going to hell in a handbasket. I blame Milton Berle.

Shrek II was a disappointment. My six year old thought it was great and, of course, all the edgy stuff went right over her head, but the movie was obviously written for adults, and with a leer. Don't think I'll be buying the DVD.

In the movie, the character is clearly identified as "The Ugly Stepsister."
It's a joke.

My wife saw this movie with the kids. She pronounced it harmless.

I wish I could get my sister to stop promoting this stuff and letting her kids see them.
They "dress up" these as kid shows w/animation so kids will be dying to see them, and promote them endlessly. Then w/all the peer pressure to boot, the kids pressure parents to take them/let them see so&so "kid's" movie. It's like a no-win situation. You have to be really hard-ball to never go to such wolf-in-sheep's clothing movies.
And that's the real sad thing - there IS no innocent kid's movie. Just like there's no innocent "adult" movie. Hasn't been for ages.

I didn't find a button there for "Shriveled Old Crones With Too Much Time On Their Hands Disorder"
Geez...

This is dumb. I went to see Shrek2 completely aware of this content. I looked real hard for it. I mean, I think one of the producers himself even said that there was a pro-gay marriage theme to the movie. I saw NONE of it. Believe me I was sensitive to it too, because there is such an issue ongoing in my family. But I digress, the movie was pretty fun. It was "adult" in many ways, but in the old fashioned way, where it was written above the heads of most children. I didn't think it was as good as Nemo, but I knew it would have greater appeal.
These complaints remind me of that black columnist who complained about the racist theme of the movie (At one point, Eddie Murphy's donkey turns into a beautiful WHITE stallion! At the VERY end, when the same character realizes he's got babies he says, in a fully "black" voice "I gotta get a JOB!").
Let folks enjoy the film, its harmless.

: The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender. The character has a five o'clock shadow, wears a dress and has female breasts. It is clear that he is a she-male. His voice is that of talk show host Larry King. During a dance scene at the end of the movie, this transgendered man expresses sexual desire for Prince Charming, jumps on him, and both tumble to the floor.
This, and the bit about Pinocchio wearing women's underwear, seems to go beyond innocent Flip Wilson/Bugs Bunny stuff.

My main problem with it was the fairy godmother was an evil factory owning capitalist. I guess she represented "Big Magic".

Bugs Bunny put on womens clothes all the time I watched the loony tunes quite a bit in my childhood.
Not a cross dresser am I,"trans" anything or homo either.
Sometimes I think we adults read too much into cartoons, instead of just laughing and letting our kids laugh.

Nice to be warned about a "movie" however, our children are required to accept this in the public school system. They are required to now live with it in their day to day lives.
