Yeah, well, transgenderism wasn't being pushed quite as heavily as it is now within theatres, etc... As well, transgenderism is being taught as 'completely normal' within some California schools.

Only in your mind! Perhaps you have a wishful imagination for this? In any event, sound like you'll love Shrek 2.
Yeah, I saw Shrek 2, and the Pinnocio panties laughs were a little too far.
But, all in all, it was a very enjoyable movie that I have little problem recommending to anyone for taking the whole family. My kids, aged 4 to 9, all went.

I've seen all the Bugs Bunny cartoons and there's no comparison. Bugs Bunny was in no way offering transgender or cross-dressing in the same light as it was portrayed in Shrek 2.
Did you ever look closely at how Disney characters like Bambi were drawn? Bambi was frequently presenting its tail-high rear end to the camera; the pervasiveness of that kind of posture is nothing short of embarrassing.
