New Abuse Charges (TIME Magazine HATE AMERICA Alert)
TIME "We hate America" Magazine ^ | June 20, 2004 | VIVECA NOVAK AND DOUGLAS WALLER

Meanwhile, a class action filed in California on behalf of former detainees raises the specter of brutal physical abuse.

One plaintiff, identified only as Neisef, claims that after he was taken from his home on the outskirts of Baghdad last November and sent to Abu Ghraib, Americans made him disrobe and attached electrical wires to his genitals. He claims he was shocked three times. Although a vein in his penis ruptured and he had blood in his urine, he says, he was refused medical attention. In another session, Neisef claims, he was held down by two men while a uniformed woman forced him to have sex with her. "I was crying," said Neisef, 28. "I felt like my whole manhood was gone." The class action also claims that detainees were raped in prison. On June 6, Neisef was released, after a U.S. civilian told him, he says, that he had been wrongly accused by informants. A U.S. military spokesman in Baghdad confirms that a prisoner with Neisef's ID number was released on that date, and TIME has obtained a copy of his release order. But the Pentagon would not comment on the specifics of Neisef's account.

Is it me or does TIME seem to advance every crack pot accussation that is made?

And, how is it that an Iraqi can make a "class action" lawsuit in our country? (Admittedly, it was filed in California, so who knows what they are thinking in the land of fruits and nuts).

I hope plaintiff's attorney realizes his client is relating common adolescent male rape fantasies.

No, it's not just you...

And how is it that these people have standing to file a class action suit in US courts?!

If this is true the only thing I have to say is: "That's what he gets for being in the wrong place at the wrong time."

This is from The Onion, right? The class action also claims that detainees were raped in prison

Gee, why should a prison in Iraq be different than a prison in America...?

Muslims are an oppressed people who have no choice but to behead prisoners and broadcast film of the event over the internet.

Americans are a cruel people who force men to have sex with women.

Now that we have established who the Good Guys are -- let's all go out their and campaign for John F'n Kerry!

You guys always go just a bit too far to make your claim believable.

Sounds like he's fantasizing.

I found out why they think an Iraqi can make a "class action" lawsuit in the US. Story in the Mercury News: "... It relies upon a federal racketeering law and the Alien Tort Claims Act, which allows foreign nationals to sue in U.S. courts for violations of international laws against torture."

How can a man be forced to have sex with a woman? I'm getting confused.

As far as Mr. Neisef's claims all I can say is "liar, liar, pants on fire".

The partisan press keeps trying this garbage. The bottom line is this: Americans just do not care. We believe any abuses are better left to the military to investigate, not the clearly partisan press. Winning the war is more important than the lame attempts by the leftists and the terrorists to make our troops the bad guys.

Good luck with your attempt, Time. I doubt it'll work.

Is "Time" trying to divert attention away from the beheading of American hostages?

It can happen. More and more states are starting to recognise it (ironically, womens groups hate the recognition these laws bestow).

In this case though, I highly doubt this guy got raped, sounds more like a "S and M" fantasy.

A lot of folks on this thread thinking the same thing I was thinking. This guy's sob story about being forced to have sex with a female soldier doesn't sound even slightly credible.

I think the left is really going to lose Average America if they try to push the notion that forcing a guy to have sex with a woman is torture.

The left really has to quit hanging out with homos so much.

If i were running the show NO FOREIGNER would be allowed to file a lawsuit period!!This is the very reason we must deny and defy the courts and lawyers and just simply tell them,"you have NO jurisdiction.
