In my last race I breezed past one of these "Run Against Bush" losers. As I mentioned in my post about this group, I find it hilarious that the dimmy-crats are unable to run for Kerry. They have to run against our president.
I live in the Chicago area and won't be able to make it, but attention NYC and New York metro Freepers!! The negatively charged "Run Against Bush" group is filming a TV commercial in Central Park next Tuesday (June 22). Give them a FReeper "hello."
This is from their web site:
"Why Are You Running?"
Support Run Against Bush's First TV Ad Campaign
We have said from the beginning that Run Against Bush is about each individual members reasons for running. Now we have a chance to showcase some of those reasons.
We have been given the opportunity to make a TV ad to take our members voices to key battleground states. But we need your help to do it.
A production crew has donated the time and equipment to make the ad, but we still need to pay for basic film costs and we still need to get people for the shoot. Donate now to help produce and air our first TV ad campaign featuring our members' voices.
And be a part of the action! Show up on June 22nd at 6pm in Central Park, NYC (at Bethesda Fountain near the boat pond) to take part in the filming. All donors will receive a shirt at the shoot. Bring as many people as possible.
Together our voices can be heard! Please consider donating today. To receive a copy of the script email script@runagainstbush.org.
President Bush has run a marathon? I'm really impressed. That takes an incredible amount of discipline and training.
My 17 year old son ran the Seattle Marathon because we were new to town and his cross country team said that they we all going to run it. Naturally, he was the only one to show up.
I waited in the cold drizzle for 3 hours and collected the exhausted kid at the end where he collapsed in a heap. After looking at the times, we determined that he finished third in his age group. Not too bad, considering. But he said he'd never run another one!
I've read the Runners World page (I remember when we used to subscribe to that) and I was impressed to see some of the names of other politicians who run. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson! US Rep. Jim Ryun -- now there's some competition!
The pictures of the President are fabulous. And reading about his past records, I see that the President ran his marathon in HOUSTON! You'd have to be a masochist to do that! When we lived in Houston, my sons were not allowed to run more than 10 miles at a whack at Strake Jesuit College Prep High School because of the oppressive heat -- 10 miles before school and 10 miles after school.
after the beheading of Paul Johnson by the radical barbarians, it would appear that our domestic enemies are becoming even more visible to us...you're with us, or you're against us.
