The 9/11 Commission is Wrong: Saddam and AQ colluded for over a decade
June 16, 2004 | Vanity

Posted on 06/16/2004 9:43:37 AM PDT by Peach

The 9/11 Commission is wrong. Dead wrong.

In the 90's, the mainstream press wrote extensively on the growing relationship between Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein.

In 1998, the Clinton administration noted that Osama bin Laden had agreed not to Iraq in exchange for WMD training.

Saddam knew that 9/11 was coming.

Links to the relationship between Iraq and AQ are listed below.

No kidding.

They haven't even interviewed Mitch Potter, who found a memo that was HARD EVIDENCE of a bin Laden-Saddam connection.

The connection is being covered up, people. If I had to guess, I'd say Jamie Gorelick's behind it.

Peach, I'm former Special Forces. I have not the slightest doubt Iraq was a client state supporting al-Quida. Like all client states Iraq would keep any connection at a distance.

I also suspect the DemonRats also think 408 Iraqi nuclear scientists were in Libya on vacation. They say they support our troops, but can anyone tell me where they have supported our troops just once since the Korean War?

The leftists have not supported our troops ever, in my lifetime.

They cannot get away with saying they support the troops while the entire time the condemn their mission, call their commander in chief a liar, and refuse to accept that the war on terror is a legitimate war.

You're more than welcome.

I'll be slamming the threads whenever there is an appropriate place to do so. I do this for the new members and lurkers who have not seen this information and apologize to those of you who have to constantly skim past my lengthy posts you have previously seen.

It is my contribution to our troops because I believe their cause is directly linked to 9/11.

It is my contribution to the president and his re-election campaign but he isn't using the information available to freepers, let alone available to his administration.

I've written the administration about it but they aren't listening to me. LOL

Incredible effort, Peach. I'll forward a copy of this thread to my Senators, the White House, and a few contacts in the media. I can only ask that other do the same. The world should know that the 9-11 Commission is a bipartisan joke.

Thank you, Quilla!

I have forwarded this information to everyone in the administration who seemed appropriate (Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rice, Powell, Rumsfeld) and my senators and all the Republican Senators on the House and Senate intelligence committees.

Why the administration has been largely silent or just makes occasional 2 sentence statements regarding the connections between Iraq and AQ is a mystery.

I cannot imagine a trial of any sort in this country for Saddam. It would make OJ look like traffic court.

Agreed, which is why I'd opt for a closed door tribunal in a place like Gitmo, though the execution should be public.

You might be interested to know that a short while ago I heard CNN spreading blatant disinformation about Atta. They claimed that rental car, cell phone, and travel records clearly place Atta in Virginia Beach on the date in question, which is patently false, and furthermore the 9/11 Commission knows that this is false. The only part which is true is that his cell phone was used there, but that could have been any of his associates using his cell phone. The media lies just continue on unabated.

I haven't checked your links, so I don't know if you have this, but Michael Medved just said that papers that were found on the ground after or during the first Gulf War listed Osama Bin Laden as an asset of Saddams secret service.

Stephen Hayes was on FNC last night talking about how Iraq listed OBL as an intelligence asset and I think it's in one of the latter links I have to his book and articles for the Weekly Standard.

Thank you.

I've sent this to Republican congressmen on the house and senate Intelligence Committees. You should see the letters I got back! They skirted around the issue in most interesting ways and one actually suggested that this wasn't a PR campaign. LOL

The White House never responded at all and I probably have an FBI file as a nutjob now. Ack!

Incredibly, an interesting bio of Rumsfeld is available at Rotten.com - with background on this meeting, and the events that have happened since.

http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/usa/donald-rumsfeld/

It's worth noting that, at the time, it was in our interest to be neutral in the Iran/Iraq war. We dealt with both sides, and the liberals cannot have it both ways regarding this information. (I.E.: "We supported Iraq! We supported Iran! WAAAHHH!")
