Former LA governor. His name is a synonym for corruption. He has scams even Hillary never thought of. Fortunately he got caught and convicted.

Former governer of Louisiana. He's serving 10 years in federal prison for racketeering.

I heard Candy hasn't decided if she's going to sign or not.

Corruption is a way of life in Loosiana.

Edwards must not have given the Feds their cut.

Former Governor of Louisiana.

Surely you remember "Vote for the Crook, It's Important" bumper stickers when David Duke of the clan ran against him?

Uh, no. Not being from Louisiana, I'm not familiar with any of this. I DO notice however that he has NICE initials: E.W.E.

"Not being from Louisiana, I'm not familiar with any of this."

Let me give to you some background. The very first time he ran for governor in the late 60s, he was asked, "Are you a crook?" He responded, "Yes, of course I'm a crook. The problem is that my opponent, ( David Treen, Repub, ) won't admit that he's a crook. At least I'm honest about it." He got elected.

The people of Louisiana treat politics much like a sport or game. It is not taken very seriously. Politicians down there are expected to be crooks. It's the hangover from when the French owned that territory.

I was born and raised down there. Luckily, I was able to move out of the state. I and a nephew are the only two in the entire, extended family who had the sense to move. :-)

He's trying to garner sympathy.

"Those nasty feds. They're gonna kill me in jail. Now I have to get divorced becaus eit's destroying my marriage."
