WASHINGTON - The office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights recently sent a letter to Caterpillar corporation's CEO in the United States warning that the bulldozers which the manufacturer sells to the Israel Defense Forces are used for acts that may be deemed human rights violations. The letter from Jean Ziegler, UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, informs James Owens that Israel uses D-9 and D-10 bulldozers supplied by Caterpillar to uproot orchards, destroy crops, and damage the homes of Palestinian residents in a manner which violates their rights to food and to suitable existence, as ensured by UN conventions.
The supply of equipment to Israel "might involve complicity or acceptance on the part of your company to actual and potential violations of human rights, including the right to food," Ziegler warned. The letter further contains a request for Caterpillar to furnish a report on the steps it is taking to prevent such a quandary.
In the past, Caterpillar has met demands to cease equipment sales to Israel by countering that it cannot monitor the use made of every item it sells.
Un-smegging-believable ping!
"In the past, Caterpillar has met demands to cease equipment sales to Israel by countering that it cannot monitor the use made of every item it sells."
Did the UN's World Court threaten to arrest Caterpillar executives?
'The supply of equipment to Israel "might involve complicity or acceptance on the part of your company to actual and potential violations of human rights, including the right to food," Ziegler warned.'
Tell that to Mugabe. Tell that to farmers who 'violate' livestock methane emissions. Arabs have cash flowing out their ears with all that oil money. Let them help the decendents of conquering monsters who had no right to drive out Israelis to begin with.
If Native Americans retook Oklahoma, would the UN be this concerned about the Oklahomans? Heck no. Help Islamics, especially the ones led by corrupt and rich leaders, but don't help Christians or Jews.
The UN has become as anti-semitic and inhuman as the nazis were.
Has the UN sent similar letter to the manufacturers of the explosives, timing device, etc. used by Palestinian homocide bombers?
50mm guns come standard on those models. Side mounted RPGs are dealer installed.
If Jews weren't so cheap they'd by American Harvester combines that can shred two rows of refugee camps at once. Satellite TV is standard equipment on the Kansas model.
Someone should inform the moronic "High Commissioner for Human Rights" that the first right of humans is SELF DEFENSE.
Be it with rocks, bricks, knives, guns or Bulldozers...
Interesting that only those selling goods to the Jews is approached ---- perhaps the Nobel group ought to receive a letter involving the Palestinians use of their products to blow up children on buses...

You said it. Please see post #11.
Dear UN,
The supply of equipment to Saddam with stolen monies from US citizens "might involve complicity or acceptance on the part of the UN to actual and potential violations of human rights, including the right to food," Caterpillar warned.
We request that the UN furnish a report on the steps it is taking to prevent such a quandary.

If the Israeli Jews weren't so dang cheap they'd buy the CAT-BBQ-10 model with the flame thrower built into the blade, with the optional 50 cal machine gun turret

I'd send them back a three word reply: Oil For Food.
Moral equivilence run amok. Warped thinking by small picture thinkers.
I wonder when the UN is going to go after the company that makes the ambulances for the Red Crescent that are used to ferry terrorists and arms?
Right...

I'll be over about 6:30.
What're we havin'?
