Flint Michigan.06.14.2004 Across the street from the two most "productive" abortion clinics in the city are signs that depict an African American child and a caption that reads "Abortion the #1 killer of African Americans". The Center for Disease Control says that in 2000 heart disease took almost 78,000 African American lives, and African American abortions that year numbered nearly 300,000. A group that intends to make political hay out of this points to the black child and the slogan on the billboard and says it is the "root of racism".

if I get my history correct, Margaret Sanger WANTED abortion clinics near black neighborhoods to help keep the black birth rate down. she wanted black people to die out.

Why do I think it is white men putting out this billboard?
The assertion on the billboard is absolutely true. Get the picture? Doesn't matter if blue skins from Saturn put up the billboard.
If white men are putting out this billboard, they make just as valid a point as if black women were putting it out. The facts and numbers don't change based on who is paying for the billboard. Anyone who considers himself or herself a leader in a black community should be more concerned with the problems illustrated by the numbers and not some perception over the billboard, that is if they care about people over their own political fame.
OUCH! Maybe this will hit home, but I doubt it.
I give up. Why do you?
Margaret Sanger wanted to keep blacks, Jews and Catholics from (gasp!) reproducing.

Regardless of who put up this billboard, is the information on the billboard truthful?
Whenever I'd get into a discussion with my liberal coworkers on abortion, they'd often point out my status as a male, in order to minimize me as being germane to the subject at hand.
I'd ask them if they were saddened to see white people protesting at the South African embassy, or straight people at gay pride parades. Further, if they wanted to see this as a gender issue, I'd point out that half of the children being aborted were males. Except of course in the cases where sex selection was being done, and some macho "daddy" wanted the firstborn to be a son, then it was mostly girls who were being aborted.
It made my point pretty quickly.
I am a woman, yet I am told that I cannot speak on the abortion issue because I've never been pregnant. People who have no legitimate point must resort to such tactics--writing anyone but themselves out of the discussion--to avoid admitting the facts or being intellectually honest. You make a good comeback, though. Good job!
Your history should also tell you that Adolf Hitler pushed abortion into every occupied territory for the same reasons.

Why do I think the only white men you don't disparage are all liberal and pro-abortion?
