What's not to understand?
Clinton was popular but he trashed the dignity of the Oval office.
"Nancy is vulnerable because no Ronny is here to defend her honor."
She is stronger than you think. You don't need to worry about her.
Maybe Tubby hasn't said much about Iraq, but the hag he stays married to and their private army of thugs, have said plenty. Some are even working for Michael Moore.
Yeah, put his "snoozing" at the eulogy of one of the greatest Presidents in history in his legacy. That stunt didn't go a long way in his "re-hab" either........at least not in my opinion.
RIGHT ON, NANCY!!!
Anyone have a link to the purported statement by Hillary to Chelsea in the 1980's that they will come back and visit the White House "when decent people are living in it"?
One of the Dem. presidents - preferably Carter - should have been given a speaking role at the state funeral, to emphasize that Reagan was not merely a Republican icon, but a NATIONAL treasure. However, Carter's speaking role should have been pre-scripted - i.e Carter should have been assigned to read one of the Bible lessons (so he wouldn't have a chance to ad lib with a politicized eulogy).
They liked the fact that he said [of Nixon, presumably] "We should judge Nixon by the totality of his life."
I can't help but think that he was really speaking of himself.

America has neither class nor character, but, every now and then, we are graced with a decent person in office and it is so refreshing.
This just goes to show that Nancy has class and common sense. Who in their right mind would want an impeached, ex president who was screwing anything in a skirt or otherwise, to give a speech at the funeral of their loved one. Maybe Howard Stern but no one else!
The statement strikes me as the Miss Manners (Judith Martin) style of stating regret; i.e., expressing regret that is not really regret at all, in order to deliver a rebuke. In plainer words, "I really regret that you, Mr. Clinton, are such a dishonorable dispicable character that you aren't fit to even be noticed at my husband's funeral, let alone occupy the office he held in such high esteem."
Indeed. Each of the Reagan speakers were appropriate for the occasion. While lying in state at the Rotunda Capitol the President Pro Tem of the Senate, Speaker of the House and Vice President, at the Cathedral Reagan's VP, two foreign allies in Mulroney and Thatcher and the current President, at the Library his Presbyterian minister and 3 surviving children. Fortunately timing made all the speakers conservative except Ron jr and Patti who provided the Dem view.
To the Dems everything "needs" their "perspective".
Also Bob Dole - but as you say - no Presidents except the toon who was, can you believe it? - a sitting President.
Right. Ol'Droopy Drawers was just "Furious" about being denied his Right to speak at a "State Funeral".
It's just not FAIR.!!!
He should have at least tried to look presidental by not nodding off in the National Cathedral on live televison.
What a Shumck.
Then why would Mrs. Reagan "have loved to have had the popular Democrat president eulogize her husband"?
I'm glad that last paragraph makes perfect sense to you, but I find this whole story a bit suspect. I think Nancy probably drew up the speaker list, but I doubt she felt the need to explain her selections to ANYBODY. She has too much class to trash the toon publicly or privately. This "story" seems to have a lot of speculatin' going on out there.
Remember his Haitian Homosexual Motorcycle Gang story?... 'nuff said...
