Row over Kidman's film romp with youngster

Row over Kidman's film romp with youngster 10:31 BST, Sunday 13th June 2004 -- by Neil Wilkes Nicole Kidman has been caught up in a row over a new film which features her kissing a ten-year-old boy while naked.

In the movie, called Birth, Kidman plays a widow who believes the boy to be a reincarnation of her husband.

Two scenes in particular have come under fire; in both, Kidman and the boy - Canadian child actor Cameron Bright - are "completely naked and caressing each other." In one of them, there is a close-up of " a very passionate kiss" as they sit in the bathtub together.

"The last thing on earth Nicole needs is a movie which is going to be jumped on by sickos and used in some perverse way to promote paedophilia," a source told the Daily Star Sunday today. "But truth is, the publicity department is already describing the movie as a nightmare. The producers, director and Nicole herself are likely to face a lot of flack."

It will cost film studo New Line around $50 million if they decide to axe the movie altoegther.

Something Nicole Kidman has always made me queasy. She reminds me of a chicken with no feathers. Those too long legs and too white skin and hair that looks glued on. Or perhaps it was that odd look in her eyes that sort of always looked sideways at nothing. And her odd responses to questions.

ROFL!! You get an A+ in descriptive writing.

I guess we were the ones who watched it. I know it was on HBO when HBO was an infant. I must have seen it three or more times, to my chagrin.

I don't go to her movies or most other follywood movies. However, the ads/teasers for each of her new movies show a creature with a bigger head and forehead and less and less hair. Then add your right on comment about her odd eyes with the bigger and less hair on the head, the end result is not a nice looking woman.

Then you sum up the Sum of all fears about her: "She always looked like she could sleep-walk to the kitchen and come back with a butcher-knife."

Why did this never happen to me when I was that age? Is there no justice?

Last I heard, both she and Tom Cruise are Scientologists. Scientology is evil crap and no mistake. I have a very good friend whose parents were both heavily into Scientology for years and the parents are raving nutcases and none of their grown children can even talk to them. The kids are all recovering their lives, and the parents (I know one of them rather well, at least as much as I want to) have really sick mental outlooks. Scientology is more or less a method to become the ultimate controller in your life, and screw everyone else.

Have they come up with a rating for pedophilia movies? They obviously will be needing one.

Now, isn't that special?
