Slay, Blunt butt heads over early voting plan ( George Soros money at work )
St. Louis Post-Dispatch ^ | June 11, 2004

St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay appears headed toward a court showdown with Secretary of State Matt Blunt over whether voters will be allowed to cast their ballots in advance of November's general election.

City officials say they want to open polling places two weeks early to avoid the long lines and chaos the city experienced at ballot boxes in 2000. Blunt's office said the sudden drive for early voting appears to be "an orchestrated political effort" to encourage a larger turnout of Democratic voters.

America Coming Together is funded in part by a $10 million contribution from billionaire businessman and philanthropist George Soros, who is committing millions of dollars to defeating Bush.

This says it all.

Liberals want to keep the polls open til Election Day so they can find out how many votes they need to take Missouri away from President Bush.

There must be SOMETHING that can be done about Soros.

Good lord I hope so. If I'm not mistaken Soros has been accused of playing with the politics in the former soviet republic of Georgia.

Chaos = democratic voter fraud.

Democrats Gephardt, Clay, Jackson, and Gore had worked this scheme out ahead of time, encouraging people to show up to vote after the polls closed whether they were registered to vote or not. Matt Blunts plan of using sequestered ballots seemed to stop this in 2002. I see the democrats are up to their old tricks again.

I think the state legislators in Jefferson City will have the last say about this. I don't see the republican controlled house and senate going along with this scam.

If you remember, back in 2002, there was predictions of massive chaos and voter fraud which never materialized. I think Blunts plan of sequestered ballots for those would be voters who were not registered worked well. After all , Talent beat Carnahan thus righting a wrong.

Now, in 2004, it will be "one term Bobs" time to be properly voted out of office.

"Liberals want to keep the polls open til Election Day so they can find out how many votes they need to take Missouri away from President Bush."

That is correct.

Just keep spreading the word about him. I think even some of the democrats are trying to distance themselves from him especially after his comment comparing 9-11 to the prison abuse in Iraq.

Keeping the polls open two weeks will not only stuff the ballot boxes, they'll be turned into bratwurst.

Yes, he did. He fancies himself as God's chosen to save the world...I kid you not. The man is dangerously insane.

They won't distance themselves that far. They need his money in order to succeed at stealing the election after failing on 2000. We'll see more articles like this, involving Soros' money, from other voting areas.

I agree with you. But I think the smarter democrats like Edwards and Lieberman do not want to be seen with him. If the rats were smart, they'd hide Soros out and just use his money. Republicans and their allies should try to "smoke out" Soros every chance they get.

We'll see more articles like this, involving Soros' money, from other voting areas.

I feel kind of violated that his reach has made it to my home state.

The trick now is to use the left-wing radical tactics against them!

Take them to court every day for every tiny reason and when the actual court day comes, drop the suit.

Guaranteed to waste their funds and create bankruptcy - these are the tactics of the extremists Sierra Club, Peta, ELF, ALF, SPCA, DNC, Amer Communist Party, Socialists, et al.
