I'm curious as to your comments on the following:
What do you think is the reason for Islamo-terrorism, what do they want, why are they motivated, and what is their end game?
This religious-socio-political movement is just as dangerous in every way that Soviet style communism was, with the added twist of a death wish for it's combatants to assure they won't fear a fight to the end.

As usual, leftists believe that this is somehow our (the U.S.) fault. We did something to make radical Muslims mad. There are quite a number of conservatives that believe this as well...

WHY JIHADIS?
1) Satan stirs them up individually and collectively for his goals of stealing, destroying and killing as a way to get back at God for not allowing satan to be God.
2) The Moslem/Arabic culture has felt squashed, maligned, 2nd rate, put down, one down, weak, ineffectual, neutered etc. for centuries. Individuals and the culture, much like the Chinese are eager to correct such feelings and realities as they perceive them. The top dog on the hill is the prime target out of those frustrations.
3) It appears to me that there are more dysfunctional families in Islam than even in America. Such wind up the personality and other craziness and cause people to blame and seek instant, childish, violent redress.
4) The Koran not only gives them excuse but orders them to engage in such if they want to make Heaven or pretend to love God, from their perspective. I believe that Allah is actually the satanic moon god of Mohammed's time. Which gets back to 1) above.
5) Individual and collective jealousy.
6) Emasculated, neutered individuals who are angry for a list of reasons are eager to have a CAUSE to act out their emotions through. For God and country, culture is a pretty powerful cause.
7) Many are ignorant, uneducated, poor and very angry. Prime candidates for cultish religious and charismatic manipulation.
8) Many dream of creating a totally Moslem planet with Sharia law controlling all countries. Such dreams for some are their total reason for living . . . as well as for dying. Everyone likes to win and be top dog.
I think 10% of Moslems given to such goals is probably conservative--especially after one factors in those complicit with safe houses, money, family/business etc. help. And I think this fact is little understood or believed by the masses of our population and seemingly by too few legislators.

Is it possible that the cops aren't there as much to protect the Muslims as it is to provide surveilance of the place, you know; right down license plates, etc?
I mean, I'd like to think WE are being protected from THEM, as well as protecting THEM from any percieved, or imagined threat that they may percieve of those of US that think they might be involved in terrorist activities here in the U.S.

But this religion doesn't just appeal to the poor, or the ignorant. Consider that one of the most radical is a multi-millionaire, and there are even characters with Ph'D's that advocate violence.
Many wealthy Saudi Muslims are educated at Harvard, so there are some other reasons, as well to the Islamic-cult appeal. The answer is similar to the Utopia that Communists once envisioned, only this has religion attached to it.
I also believe you are going to see a lot of Leftists hop on the Islamic bandwagon, just like they did with EST, Transcendental Meditation, etc. Many Leftists love flirting with cults.
As an example; we had the Rajneeshspuram cult out here in Elgin, Oregon. Rich liberals gave up all their worldly posessions, meanwhile their Bagwhan leader had 50 Rolls Royces. In the end they tried to take over the town of Elgin, by busing in followers and registering them to vote. Then they tried to poison the town by dumping poison in the water system, and they also poisoned food at a resteraunt buffet.
Any of this sound like something Islamo-terrorists might do? Yup.

I've missed Ronald W. Reagan for the past 10 years. I'd like to imagine that during the extremes of the Clinton years, he would have had something to say that would have brought Americans back to their senses and I also like to imagine that the 1996 election would have had a completely different outcome and therefore, we wouldn't have had to go through Monica and all the other junk that idiot forced on us.
Rest in peace, Ronald W. Reagan. We will remember you forever, and I can't wait until I meet you once again, and get to ask a dozen questions I've always wanted to ask.
God bless Nancy and his children. Give them grace to handle the loss of this great man.
My heart simply breaks for Nancy. Losing a soulmate, losing someone who wrote the lovely notes he did, is something she lost over the past 10 years but it is always so final when death final occurs.

A refugee from the Muslim Middle East thinks he has discovered Islam's 20-point plan for conquering the United States by 2020 – a plan revealed in the latest issue of Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with statewide and nationwide hate-crime bills.
2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting Christianity is for whites only. What they fail to tell African-Americans is that it was Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them as slaves. In fact, the Arabic word for black and slave is the same, ''Abed.''
3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.
4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office to bring about favorable legislation toward Islam and support potential sympathizers by block voting.
5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press, TV, radio and the Internet as possible by buying the related corporations or a controlling stock.

12. Let the entire world know through propaganda, speeches, seminars, local and national media that terrorists have hijacked Islam, when in truth, Islam hijacked the terrorists.
13. Appeal to the historically compassionate and sensitive Americans for sympathy and tolerance towards Muslims in America who are portrayed as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.
14. Nullify America's sense of security by manipulating the intelligence community with misinformation. Periodically terrorize Americans with reports of impending attacks on bridges, tunnels, water supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls.
15. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison system demanding Islamic Sharia as the way of life, not America's justice system.
16. Open numerous charities throughout the U.S., but use the funds to support Islamic terrorism with American dollars.

Let's look at the different means/definition of salvation.
Judaism speaks of national salvation - at the end of the world, Israel will be in its own land, ruled by its own king and serving God.
Christianity speaks about the idea that every single person in the world can be saved from his sins... personal salvation.
Islam speaks about ruling the world. "Allah sent Mohammed with the true religion so that it should rule over all the religions." The Islamic idealogy is not that the whold world would become a Muslim world, but that the whole world wouild be subdued under the rule of Islam.
Islam's early history bears that out.
