Not that I cared that they were whining about "it's political - no Democrats spoke" but it sorta takes the wind out of the sails regarding that argument.

Seems to me they had representation from within the Reagan family.

I teared up at almost every event...especially when I would look at Nancy's face. But, I really lost it Friday night when she finally broke down at the casket.

Off and on all week. I don't know how Nancy got through it.

I was thinking of John Kerry's drive-by photo op at the Library.

I started crying when Air Force One did the low fly over and dipped it's wings over the library. The bagpipe and Mrs. Reagan just about un-did me.

There's something very emotive about music which gets to me. I frequently mist up at Sunday church services when I hear certain songs and really think about what's been done for me.

So, I found the music during the National Cathedral service very powerful. The "Battle Hymn of the Republic" always gets to me anyway (it's a picture of Christ takin' care of business- "every knee shall bow and tongue confess" that He is Lord), but it was particularly moving at the funeral service with the choir and orchestra strings. A real tear-jerker!

One of the most poignent images of the week for me was video of a little uniformed Cub Scout in the Capitol rotunda saluting President Reagan's casket. He used the Cub Scout hand salute. In my mind I pictured Reagan scopping him up into a one-armed hug while handing him a handful of jelly beans!

I'll miss Ronaldus Magnus. Well done, good and faithful servant......

Did not cry. It just got very dusty eye irritating at very specific moments.

Another beautiful application for that song, xp38. It is truly fitting for our beloved Reagan. As for me, I missed everything televised and live since I was traveling to Chicago, but I heard all of it on the radio, and cried during Thatcher, Bush I and especially Bush II.

At one point as President Bush was speaking, I thought those very same words could be applied to him. In a strange sort of irony, GWB was almost talking about himself...

Anyone who didn't cry at some point isn't really alive. While we mourn the loss of another piece of America, we must not lose sight of this fact. "The Gipper" won this one. He is finally free of the grip of Alzheimer's.

I don't know if we will ever see another like him. Honor and fidelity seem to be a thing of the past, at least among politicians.

May god bless Nancy Reagan, and may God continue to bless this United States of America.

Your observations are interesting. They mirror mine. I thought it was a personal slam against GWB.

If this is done for Clinton it will be a sham. It would also pale in comparison, I mean like what the hec would they talk about all week besides his scandals and treasonous behavior. I still ask rats what the hec Clinton actually did in office (besides the sordid things)and they really have nothing to say. They act like Clinton was their Reagan, it would be funny if it weren't so sad.

I've lost a best friend. It was because of Reagan that I took an interest in politics. It was because of Reagan that I again felt pride in my country after the malaise of the Carter presidency. It was because of Reagan that America became a great and noble country once again.

I truly believe God put him on this Earth for a very specific reason. He has now taken him back home.

God bless Ronald Reagan, and may his legacy live on forever.

Cried many times. So proud of our military! I just can't express that enough! It was absolutely beautiful! Every role they filled they did with grace and honor.
