Clinton has to be thinking - he needs to have a private funeral. Clinton's funeral will feature a New Orleans jazz band playing juke music and a line of hookers doing the samba, carrying a sign saying "The First Black President".

I have been crying on and off all day. Watching the interment services I had to trade in my kleenex for a wash rag. Bless Nancy's heart. She did Ronnie proud.

Yeah--the beauty of the service, the reverence, the pagantry and grace of the participants, the color and symbolism. Finally a worthwhile network broadcast--and very highly rated I bet. God, country, and the Reagans!
PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN.

I am quietly hoping that our loss will be the nation's gain... once again.
Our beloved president has blessed us even is his passing...
I believe God will make this sadness & loss for us a redemptive moment in the present season.
Those who honor God.... God will honor..
I was proud of President Reagan again today.... all day... and also found my heart glad to hear my Savior's holy name mentioned with gladness, and honor, and in the context of the New Covenant...
The lines between light and darkness are becoming clearly defined. All the pretenders who would try to stand in the gray area, are being exposed as children of the darkness.
Today this light has shined with clarity; Bringing not only the truth of the Kingdom of The Lord... but exposing those who have no true humility or heartfelt interest in walking with God or serving His purposes....
All those who prefer a godless nation... and yet try to worm their way up to the church's front door looking for a political handout... in image, photo-op, or even the appearance of Christian communion... will get no further.
Blessings to all..

Yes. Me too. This week has been filled with different moments. However, at that moment, I just couldn't hold it back anymore. I don't think I have cried like that since my Papaw passed.
Funny thing...it is really as almost as if a member of my own family died.
Well, in a way, that's the way most of us feel.

How could anyone not feel pride watching the color and honor guards, they all sure looked fine!

Clinton's funeral will either be held at the famous "Bunny Ranch" or "The Playboy Mansion".

I lost it multiple times, especially when seeing Michael and Nancy's ravaged faces, so clear that their hearts were breaking. I have to take my sister-in-law to LAX on Monday, so I just printed out the map and am going to take the 1-2 hour detour to go by the library and pay my respects, since I couldn't earlier in the week. Thanks to FreeRepublic, that we can all share our sorrow together.

Agreed. For some time I've referred to him as "The Old Man". To me, he will always be our Old Man.

It was a beautiful spot that President Reagan had chosen to be buried....I do wonder if Nancy will be buried next to her husband.

Perhaps your tears of the pride and adoration that you have for this wonderful man? Nothing wrong with that. During several parts of the week, reading or listening to stories about this great man, I felt like my chest was about to explode with pride. Right about that time, a tear or two would find its way down my tightly-clinched cheek and jaw.
Tears of pride. Tears of joy.
Those are the best kind.

I could not cry as I was driving at the time and hauling passengers and crying don't safely mix. However, I heard the service and it was OUTSTANDING. Lady Thatcher's comments were particularly poignant... and Mulroney's recollection of Dutch saying that for two Irishmen, they'd certainly both "moved up" when they married above themselves was very like the Gipper.

Ron Jr.?Nuts! He was being critical of Dubya but he has said a lot worse. He's a jerk in my book.

I cried when Patti was speaking. The story of the gold fish touched me as did her closing statments tonight.
