Oh dear Lord--that's is so beautiful. I feel my beloved John is watching this from his "bird's eye" view--and thanking Jesus--personally--for Ronald Reagan!
I agree. God sends comforts to help us bear the unbearable.
I hope the her past mistrust of the public will be warmed by all the love.
I'll be there. I want to be there.
Exactly, and when they play them as an instrumental no one recogizes them. Losing our heritage in a way.
"Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling"
...come home...
I've had FNC on throughout the events today but a few minutes ago I, out of curiosity, switched to the networks just to see if they were covering this part. I paused a little too long on ABC and OH MY GOODNESS they're brutal. I really REALLY felt slimed.
After reading this comment, I popped on CBS for about twenty seconds. Dan Rather and some hump were discussing how Reagan was the consumate performer as president, selling his ideas with the right gesture or the right inflection - as if his ideas were some sort of 1890s huxters phoney cure-all elixer
Effing pukewads. (I am currently respecting FR posting guidelines in type, but not in yelling at my television.)
ROFL! That's what I was hesitant to say!
This is why FOX is THE place to watch. The other networks are trying to SPIN SPIN SPIN SPIN SPIN.
C-Span is an exeption because they are saying ZERO words.
ah ... LOL ...
WE sing these at the traditional service at our Methodist church. I want every one at MY funeral.
No I missed that. Thanks. I'll bet it was 500,000 if they were saying 200,000.
Thank you - we loved him and always will.
I just switched to cspan from Fox - both were showing a young soldier. On cspan, I heard someone say "Don't move. You are on camera."
Thank you thank you for the link - finally - video to go with the narrative. TV's zapped by storm.
Get one for the Gipper - how fitting a send-off.
I told him I had watched the Reagan memorial service and asked if he knew he had died.
Dad said, "Oh yes, greatest President this country has ever had." No mumbling, no problems getting the right words out.
