LIVE THREAD--Reagan State Funeral Ceremony: Lying in State at the Rotunda (6/11/04)
That young Marine got to me, too!
Events are moving along on schedule. And in hindsight it all seems to have been a whirlwind. Incredible precision by the military that Reagan loved. Most moving to me, or at least as moving as the national loss, is the personal loss felt by the Reagan family. President Reagan did all in his power to shine the light of freedom and his God into the world.
I did it!..It works for me..
I thought so, too. I was reveling in it, but near tears.
Amen Sister!!!
What a Blessing to be a tiny part of such a time as this!
Oh gosh. Great pic Bob. Very moving.
Why, the internet isnt on at any certain time, it is easily accessible any time of the day! You just need a computer that has whats called a "modem", or, if you wanna get fancy, you can get on wats called "DSL", or even cable, thats right, just like the cable connected to your TV, not to say you could watch cable through your TV, though I supose you could somewhere on whats called "websites", there might be some sort of HBO website somewhere, you'll be amazed what you can find on the internet!
Glad to help!
Love your tag line, it's a tough act to follow, but a noble quest.
Thank you for posting this picture. G-d bless him.
Are you suggesting that x42 was either 1. Drunk 2. under the influence of drugs or 3 Both?
I would believe sleepy or bored but drugs? Reagan has passed from this world, why would clinton fear the departed?
My local Fox station did pick up the funeral, at the libray and Washington, D.C. I guess it is up to the local station manager. I live in Houston.
"We here still move in twilight. But we have one beacon to guide us that Ronald Reagan never had. We have his example. Let us give thanks today for a life that achieved so much for all of God's children." Just wonderful.
Yes! I love hearing them! What an experience to be a part of this............from a distance.
You might need to let people know that depending on demand, it may stretch out into a several months project.
Barbara Walters is treating this like some form of Oscar fashion lineup.
she should stick to her celebrity fluff interviews and keep off this serious story. Her professional presence demeans the event.
Amazing that CBS would break away from the funeral procession to show "The Bold and The Beautiful." Then again, maybe not so amazing.
Thank God we didn't have Al Gore giving the eulogy today as President! THAT would have been a horror!!
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
I trust that in this era, there will be even a supercharged manifestation of that fulfillment.
Why you watching *her?* Morbid curiosity? :-)
the internment is private...you may get some photos on the AP wire later tonight.
