That's for sure. By the way, I was just telling rickylc that when my mom was a girl (1920s), she saw a true meteor storm. All parts of the sky were lit up simultaneously. This was in Iowa but it was a true hemispherical event.

I will be going out with a image intensifier to try and detect micro-meteors.

I don't think people are irritated with the meteor posts at all. There are some other things that are bit out there though. There are some things that are not terror related in any way shape or form. Things that just make us look a little kooky. I think that might be what Granny is mostly upset about. Stuff that does not even provide food for thought on terror issues.

The reason they interest me, besides my personal fascination with celestial events, is the tie-in I remember reading about here concerning Muslim prophecies of some celestial catastrophe that would destroy their enemies.

I don't remember it exactly, but I do remember it. I think it was associated with the rise of the Mahdi, or whatever their second coming personna is called.

I keep wondering if they are waiting on some sign from the heavens to begin their attacks. I know the appearance of a new planet was specifically mentioned, and we've had the daleel pic with the sun and the unidentified planet.

Yes...we have been wacthing that since thread one. Not that there prophecy's are real, but that if they take some event as a sign then it could trigger bad actions on there part. Like you said.

Well the so called snowball net count down is due to expire in about 4 days max. So then we can finaly put that one to rest. I was amazed at all the kooky stuff out there when I was reading over the Aussie Bloke stuff. It can take you in if you are not really careful...Some people have really good imaginations.

I realize it's my penchant to connect everything with everything. But I really curtail that a lot hereon; whether it shows, or not.

And, while I realize there is a definition of "terror" meaning having to do with terroristS, I construe it to have to do with most anything devastating enough to cause terror in the hearts and minds of most of the population.

I construe that as relating to

terroristS

because they WILL BE VERY HAPPY, EAGER AND possibly even inventive in

MAKING USE OF whatever 'natural' disasters may occur.

Whether it saves them a city to nuke or adds cover for their own mayhem, I believe it is very important to consider

WHATEVER

might be factored into the terrorist mix of mentalities and behaviors, options in the conceivable remotely near future.

And, just as I scroll on by even bonafide terrorIST docs which seem outside my interest, time or skills to add anything to at the moment,

I believe others who may have more specific or even more narrow interests, ARE QUITE CAPABLE of scrolling on by docs which some TMmers find useful, thought-provoking, interesting FOR WHATEVER REASON they might construe a terror relationship.

No one has to get parochial or hyper.

Clearly destructive trolls should be able to be easily identified. Accusing others with broader interests and broader habits of connecting diverse puzzle pieces of being trolls is not kosher. Such people so prone to thinking outside the box, hereon of all places, ought not be castigated. It's not functionally helpful to the goals of TM and it's also not kind or polite to TM brothers and sisters.

I seem to remember something of this as well. Once every couple of years I am given a class or two of "World History" to teach. I always try and brush up for connecting current events with past events and recall stumbling across such an assertion this past year.

It's one reason the recent transit of venus across the sun might have been a global "GO Code." It would not require any sort of messages be passed to possibly compromise operational security (OPSEC) and everybody would know all over the world at nearly the same time.

The meteorite was described as glowing silver in colour and similar to an artillery shell when it exploded with a bright flash on impact.

I've never seen or heard of a meteorite being described quite this way. It's a bit unnerving.

StillProud2BeFree, last year, some jihadi boards were discussing Mubarak and speculating about his successor. Do you know if Mubarak's son would automatically be the successor should something be amiss with Mubarak? I forget his son's name or even if he has more than one son.

But if Mubarak should pass, and his son succeed him, would Egypt's pro-American and especially it pro-Israel/pro-Palestine balancing stance continue?

We know that the terrorists would want an openly anti-Western replacement!

Mossad1967: I missed the whole show just about because my cable signal kept fading and mucking Real Player up. Darn. Tomorrow I will make sure I have one of my stereos or radios properly set to wabc; just have to find a way to improve the AM reception on it! There is always alot of whirring and static when I try to listen to AM radio.
