Since they like to do things in multiples, I have a feeling there are more in the planning or final stages mode.
It's too bad we couldn't torture this guy to get everything he knows out of him before his cohorts have time to pull off their plans.
But we have to play nice like our Mommies taught us.

I've heard that rumor before; bottom line for me is that he was one of many young men who gave their lives so we can be free.
Just noticed this. The type of chopper could be significant. Do you remember if they had two very large rotors above a "mast" front and rear? That would be a cargo bird like a CH-47. These can haul one or two HumVees or a platoon of (40 or so) troops. It is somewhat ungainly and elongated. It sort of reminds one of a grasshopper. BUT a chopper with ONE HUGE overhead rotor and a smaller rotor perpendicular off a tail boom might be a "Pave Low" and those are used by Special Operations guys. Did you notice colors or camoflage patterns? Things for everybody to watch for in the future.

Most of my adult life, the best viewing for star patterns and shooting stars is Jusly-September. Just beautiful.
Stars that just drip in the sky like brilliant jewels on yards of black velvet are best viewed on a clear late autum or winter night.

I live in Miami and although I too have seen military overhead many times they almost never break the sound barrier. Just a day or so after 911 one F15 screamed over my portable classroom at about a thousand feet and went ballistic (straight up) with full afterburner. My students were terrified! I made them hustle outside and look up. As the thunder rumbled over the city and his 'burners were just twin red dots on a blue sky I shouted to them:
"Hear THAT? THAT'S the sound of FREEDOM!!! They are up there, fully armed, to protect YOU!!!" My students are almost all Haitian immigrants. It made an impression.
But I had a fighter jock once tell me that they are pretty much forbidden unless it's an emergency from breaking the sound barrier over populated areas. They head over the sea or I guess it's okay over farmland, but rarely over populated areas. I kind of wonder if that pilot that day got into trouble. But it was a great lesson on American Government that day! LOL
