Posted on 06/10/2004 2:28:07 PM PDT by alisasny

Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.

Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.

Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.

Thanks for the thread..I have been watching C-Span all day. My head couldn't take anymore talking heads whether they be on Fox or MSNBC. I just love the silent respect for this great man. When Gorby came to the bier, I cried again. What a moment. Your old enemy comes to pay respect. WOW. I am so proud of our young men and women military guard. They are impressive. I am so proud to be an American.

I couldn't stand it anymore. I unlocked the Director's office (he's out of town) and turned his TV to C-Span. If I lean just right I can see what's going on.

That is beautiful. I can't look at her without crying. She reminds me so much of my mother.

After seeing Rudy in person here at OU and hearing him speak, I am even more of a fan of his. His words about Pres Reagan and Pres Bush were wonderful -- left that convocation feeling great -- uplifting person.

I predict the berrette will be the female fashion statement for his viewing.

Well, I think a lot of us will be wearing a blue dress and a beret when X42 finally passes, in order to properly 'remember' him.

Who is entitled to State Funerals? and is 'lying in state" something anyone other than the Pres can have? Seems I remember a supreme court justice lying in state but memory is poor.
