Perhaps too busy still mourning the loss of his business partner Saddam Hussein, chief French quisling Jacques Chirac is not only refusing to attend former President Ronald Reagan's funeral on Friday, his government doesn't even list a representative who will attend.

Despicable scum. Thoroughly lacking in manners, dignity and grace.

On the other hand, the cathedral will smell better.

Regards, Ivan

I've heard Lady Thatcher will be speaking by videotape. Is that in error or, if not, do you know why she'd be there, yet on tape?

BTW, add me to the long list of those glad to see you back, though sorry for the occasion.

Dan

Amen to that.

I remember when the despicable Lyndon Johnson refused to attend Churchill's funeral thus proving me wrong as I'd thought it impossible my opinion of LBJ had any further room to sink.

Do my eyes deceive me? MadIvan, it's good to see you back in these (not so sacred) precincts. It will be a pleasure to read your posts again.

Holy cow, Ivan. You're only 31? You're pretty damn wise for your age.

Here's hoping you stick around this time.
