I've only heard it mentioned once but Maureen's widowed husband is there with the family, and with his fiance. I believe that they were seated in the second row at the Library the other day.
They were also at the library this morning. His fiance is blond and he appears to be rather tall.

It took forever for the FoxNews and CNN commentators to cease talking. Also the split screen coverage on CSpan was a bother. Huge kudos to MSNBC for quieting down way before the other blabbermouths.

I just lost it when Nancy waved to the crowd from the top of the steps of Air Force One. And everytime music was played...
We've lost a great, great man in Ronald Reagan...

Somehow I missed this thread. It was solomn, tasteful, respectful and very moving, as with the service yesterday.
To me, what is best are the way everyone is repeating his one-liners and anecdotes - mostly humorous - that reflect his personality. I'm sure that, looking down upon us all now, he approves. He'd want us to celebrate his life moreso than mourning his death.
We'll miss him forver.

Thanks for all the help with the black bow pictures. I purchased the ribbon at lunch and my assistant helped me make one for my home and office.
Also, would like to let all Freepers know that Ronald Reagan lives on in my own family today. While out shopping for ribbon, I called my 18 year old to remind him to watch the funeral proceedings and make sure he registers to vote in the upcoming election. His reply, "Mom, I did it yesterday." Of course, my next question, "And you registered as what?" His reply, "Don't worry Mom; I registered Republican." I am proud that in a very real way, President Reagan's ideas live on in the next generation. Reagan inspired me to register Republican as a young 18 year old, and my son has followed my lead. The People's Republic of Maryland gained one more Pubby today-One at a time!
