MSNBC is about to show Kerry.....Kerry gets his photo op.
"is" should be "isn't".
Cameras ARE forbidden...for the little people. But JF'nK thinks he is so important that everything he does has to be filmed, except his falling on the ski slopes and off bicycles, of course.
Yes, he is going to D.C., too!
I think he wanted to get "the money shot" before Bush did.
He acts like he's the president in waiting.
I thought cameras were forbidden? And I certainly haven't seen anyone else taking pictures.
This guy just doesn't have a clue what's appropriate,
and what's not.
Lester Holt had announced a short while ago that his appearance was imminent.
He said that Kerry had tried to call Nancy yesterday, but was unable to reach her (I would think not).
They then went to one of the young reporters with Kerry who emphasized in his earnest way, that one mustn't think Kerry came to California as a stunt, and he explained about Alexandra's graduation (note: Kerry's original campaign schedule had him here in Tucson today. I'm not sure if Alexandra's graduation is later today or actually tomorrow), and that since he was in the LA area, they felt it fitting he should make the trip (I just report, you decide).
The MSNBC went to the Reagan Library as soon as Kerry emerged from a "holding room" as Holt described it. Kerry was wearing a blue tie. As I'm sure is noted by others on this thread, Kerry looked solemn, did the Sign of the Cross, put his hand briefly over his heart (like doing the pledge of allegiance), then went escorted with his crew back to his holding room.
NO CAMERAS PERMITTED!
How did he get this done?
I am stunned
and damn mad.
Furious.
MSNBC is back from commercial. UN just voted unanimously to approve the US/British handover of Iraq to a formal Iraqi government. Still no news from Califorina.
I doubt it will happen, but I hope somebody boos him. His expression would be priceless.
and right after the genuflect, he paused and put his hand to his heart before leaving.
There's a theory out there that says Clinton suggested this politically suicidal act to Kerry.
And that will not (obviously) happen because too many, like here on FR, are so committed to being embodiments of the kind of politicking Reagan despised that what will stand out most is the disrespect Kerry was given while he paid his respects, no matter how insincere he may or may not have been.
BUMP all the way to the top baby! You nailed it.
From what I understood cameras were forbidden. How in the heck did he get a pass to bring a camera? I understand him "paying his respects" ( I mean that very loosely ) but a camera of his own??
I wonder if Kerry's cell phone was confiscated before hand.
I would hit him over the head with my pocketbook if I was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do Kerry and Nancy Pelosi have a daughter? Wow, gossip gets started fast, huh?
In this photo it almost looks like Kerry is doing the Clinton bite-the-lip thing. Sheesh! I just ate lunch and this makes me sick to my stomach. How dare he horn in on this? I can't think of enough bad things to say about this.
Kerry has the face of his party, the donkey face. Maybe his own photographer will get the angles right.
There is another similarity with his party symbol, but I think everyone already recognizes that.
